    He hired inexperienced young males off the street, paid them cash in my bank parking lot. He came to me every day with another request for money ahead of schedule. After $68K, I stopped giving him money. The promised materials were substituted with inferior ones. The boys did not know what they were doing. The work was very bad: rafters not nailed to anything, no plates, no straps, roofing only tacked down here and there, drywall popping out from water inside the walls, posts put in the wrong place or not the right kind of posts. After I fired him, workers came to me to get paid - he did not pay them all. They left the tear-off all over the exterior of the house, left the roof unfinished with just tarps over it, left personal property, furniture, family albums, electronics ruined and exposed to weather, piled up in different rooms, and stopped my use of more than half the house. Water comes into every room when it rains. I have solid oak floors which are now streaked, split, cupped, stained from water saturation. My family heirlooms are destroyed and cannot be repaired or replaced. Most of the work he and his crew did (3 or 4 guys at a time) is inferior and needs to be re-done. My house is unrecognizable today. He was reported to DCCA and RICO for his business practices. I cannot collect from him because all his assets are hidden under the names of other people.
