We are very happy with our new tile patio installed by Mayflower. Mayflower did such a great job remodeling our kitchen and bathrooms that they were the logical pick to install tile on our patio to cover the grey cement that was the original surface.

I can't say enough good things about Mayflower—they seriously came to my rescue, even with the complexities of dealing with insurance. The highlight was definitely Nicole, my designer, who reviewed my space and helped with everything. I’m not the best at designing, but Nicole truly saved the day. I showed her pictures of what I envisioned, and she effortlessly guided the whole project, making the process much simpler.

The team managed to get my home ready within a month, rearranging their schedules to accommodate my needs so I could move back in. Their customer support was beyond top-tier, from their heartfelt kindness to their prompt responses—they even surpassed Chick-fil-A in customer service, in my opinion! (Who doesn’t like Chick-fil-a customer service lol) I can't express enough how fantastic their service was.

Nicole was our designer and she not only beautifully designed our project but was a great support during the process. Alex was our project manager and came by almost every day to check on things and make recommendations. Frank was our foreman and he was tremendous. The team who worked in our house were skilled and helpful. I especially liked that they were assigned to our project and consistently worked long hours to achieve the project goals.

A great renovation team. We ended up with a lovely new bathroom at the price point we specified, all completed within the required time frame. They were able to manage the many requirements levied by our condo association and local building ordinances, and they were able to work with a custom window vendor in order to replace an existing window and frame. Appreciate all the hard work, and we would definitely work with them again.

I would highly recommend Mayflower for your construction. We did an extensive renovation of 4 bathrooms, 2 walk-in closets and a laundry room. I was very happy with Nicole's designs. She had a challenge working with angled ceilings that followed the roof line in two bathrooms, but she came up with designs that worked perfectly without compromising on space, which also created a more contemporary layout. It was a pleasure working with her in the design phase as she met my brief on aesthetics perfectly and worked with us and negotiated openly on meeting our budget requirements. I liked how all the expected costs were provided upfront and we were not met with any unknowns or surprises during the construction phase.
It's tough living through construction in your home, but I was honestly so happy with Alex and his team of workers. They screened off the working zones and kept the building materials neatly stored. They took great care to keep to the work zones and cleaned up every day after the days work was done. The team of workers were honestly the nicest people, friendly and honest and I was very happy to have them in my home (we even went on vacation for 2 weeks while they worked in our house). Alex was on site every day to check progress and to manage his team.
I was honestly very impressed overall from design through construction and overall management.

My family recently hired Mayflower Construction Group to renovate the first floor of our 1937-built rowhouse in Alexandria. We initially met with Mayflower’s design consultant Nicole who guided us through the project, from design to demo to reno, and who could not have been more professional or helpful. Construction took 6 weeks and was on-time and on-budget. The end result was a stunning makeover of our first floor, a space that is now spacious, airy and full of light, with modern and warm materials, textures and colors. We truly admire the work and craftsmanship of Mayflower and were incredibly impressed by their entire team (Alex, Frankie, Dasha, as well as the hard working and skilled demo/reno workers) and highly recommend their company.

We recently completed a 3 bathroom renovation with the Mayflower Construction group. It was a positive experience across the board. We worked with a design consultant who was committed from the start of the project to its success. She helped us choose unique designs from the tile, lighting and color for each bathroom. She provided great insight and was helpful in guiding us through the process. The construction group was professional, detail oriented and thorough in meeting our needs and expectations. If we were ever to take on another large renovation project, we would definitely go with Mayflower.

I am a first time home remodeler and had lots of questions regarding a kitchen renovation, including process, costs, design options, etc. I spoke with 4 or 5 design and build companies and selected Mayflower Construction Group. I was impressed by how responsive and patient they were with all of my questions, as well as the overall professionalism of their team. I received 4 bids from contractors and Mayflower's was very competitive. I also appreciated the transparency of their pricing. I definitely had a solid sense of the overall cost of the project before any work was started. And if things came up along the way, my contact at Mayflower always communicated those things to me and explained the "hows and whys" of the situation. I live in a condo complex that has many rules regarding contractors and in-unit renovations, and the entire team at Mayflower was very respectful of those. The onsite field team was also extremely respectful of my home space and cleaned up at the end of each day, including neatly grouping all of their materials in one section of my living room and vacuuming the space, which made living in my condo while the construction was taking place a bit more pleasant! I give Mayflower Construction Group an A-plus for overall professionalism, quality of work, and fair pricing. Mayflower Construction Group exceeded my expectations for my kitchen renovation and I look forward to working with them again when it's time to renovate my bathrooms.

We engaged Mayflower back in 2021 for a kitchen remodel that turned out far better than we could have ever imagined. When it came time for a makeover of our master bathroom in 2023, we knew who to call!

As with our kitchen, the master bathroom in our Del Ray, VA duplex is TINY and therefore has very little storage space. In fact, other than a small medicine cabinet, there was no storage at all to speak of. So this was priority number one. Other than that, we just wanted an updated shower/bath with modern fixtures, a more powerful toilet, and better lighting.

After another wonderful design consultation with Nicole (she is the best!), we scheduled the work to be done when we’d be out of town for a couple of weeks. This is the second remodel that Mayflower has done in our absence and they take tremendous care to keep our house clean and return it to its original state when done.

Again, we returned to a bathroom that looked better than we ever expected! Now there is a ton of storage, excellent lighting, and utterly gorgeous blue tile to view every day. We couldn’t be happier!

I was in need of having my stepfather's bathrooms updated and to get the condo ready to sell. I saw an ad in the Rotunda newsletter and I liked the looks of the photos I saw. I inquired about getting a quote to update the bathrooms, they sent the quote over quickly and the design was something I felt was very updated and would increase the resale value of the condo. Working with the design team, I got my daughter involved because she had recently updated her bathroom after a flood, and I couldn't have asked for an easier process being 750 miles away from the unit! The design team and office manager were patient with me having to make payments through our lawyer in Florida, so this was definitely a long distance process! When I was able to come up a day or two after the project was completed, it was so delightful to see the progress photos I received were true to the design we had selected, and I look forward to updating the rest of the condo!

Our experience with Mayflower Construction Group for a fireplace remodel was fantastic! Everyone from the office manager, project designer and construction team were very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. We had regular progress updates and had our questions answered promptly. After putting off projects for years, we decided it was time to embark on major renovations so we could maximize the space. We wanted a design-build contractor to help us not only think through all the projects and the dependencies, but also ensure any surprises in the walls were addressed properly. We gutted our first floor to open and remove multiple walls, renovated all three bathrooms (two upstairs and one of the first floor), and installed new flooring throughout the house. Mayflower Construction was great to work with. Nicole, our designer, helped us reconcile our different design sensibilities and we both love the final product. Alex, our project manager, was knowledgeable and unflappable even when the walls revealed surprises that should have not passed inspection at original construction (hello load bearing wall not quite in the right place). Lexi, the office manager, was great at answering all our emails and tracking down answers for all our questions and concerns. Our onsite teams worked hard and were always polite and helpful. Any remodel is a stressful experience, but the team at Mayflower was pleasant to work with and delivered great quality work. We couldn’t be happier about the results, including knowing there aren’t any issues hiding the in the walls anymore.

We hired Mayflower to remodel our bathroom. They were very accommodating in offering options to us and providing quotes when we were unsure how large of a remodel we wanted. They were quick to start the project and finished within a reasonable timeline. Although there were some communication issues between us, the office, and the field team, they were quick to sort it out. During the project, they were flexible with our requests when we ran into unexpected problems. We would recommend Mayflower and use them again.

The staff at Mayflower Construction Group helped us chose the right design and functioned well. They reliably showed up on time and finished the entire project on time. We appreciated their cleanliness and efforts to protect the house including stuff in the garage. At the end of the project, they listened and agreed to make all the little changes to make the project perfect, leaving us very happy customers.

We just completed a kitchen renovation managed by Mayflower Construction Group. The kitchen came out beautifully, is exactly as we envisioned and Mayflower delivered on everything it promised. Everyone we worked with was excellent and fully engaged, from Nicole our design consultant to Alex our project manager to Francisco our crew foreman and his team to Lexi providing administrative support. We would highly recommend Mayflower Construction Group.

Great communication and incredible results. We hired Mayflower to complete a kitchen and living room renovation. Beginning with the design process and throughout construction, we appreciated that there was constant communication, and they were up front about scheduling and pricing. There were no surprises throughout the entire project. If we had a concern, they would let us know and resolve it before we even had the chance to be worried about it. They managed to squeeze us into a tight window just before Christmas and despite supply delays outside of their control, they finished the project on time. Their employees were professional and respectful of our space as we were living in the house during renovations. Throughout the project, the project manager was on site to go over the progress. Mayflower also provided weekly status updates and immediately answered any questions that we had. The quality of work was outstanding, and we are so happy with the results. I would highly recommend Mayflower to anyone no matter the size of the project.

Nicole and Alex from Mayflower gained our trust from the beginning as we contemplated the changes we wanted to make with our kitchen. Nicole has a flair for design; Alex knows how to get the job done. Their knowledge of the Rotonda and its structure meant they knew what could work and what couldn’t, and they saved us the headaches of getting permits and approvals from the Rotonda front office. They understood our budget was limited. They advised us where we could save money by using a flooring contractor to put in oakwood floors and made clear as we thought over changes what the costs for each would be. Covid complicated our decisions. Alex and Nicole alerted us to possible delays that we might face due to supply backlogs.

Their implementation team was excellent, polite and helpful throughout, working with us to find solutions to small problems as they came up. Despite some Covid delays, the work was completed in a reasonable 5-6 weeks, and they took care of all minor fixes shortly thereafter. All in all, an amazingly pleasant experience!

Working with Mayflower was a wonderful experience. From our initial meeting, Nicole was very helpful in outlining the process, while never pressuring us. After having had bad experiences with “cheaper” home improvement companies, we wanted to work a company that would more actively manage the whole process. Nicole helped us with several design choices and suggested ideas that we loved but wouldn’t have thought of ourselves. When the project started, Mayflower did a great job in keeping us updated throughout the project and in explaining what they were doing. Two weeks before our kitchen project started, we realized we had a leak in our master bathroom. Mayflower was able to add it to our kitchen project and gave us a great price. Overall, the whole project stuck exactly to the schedule. We love the results and will happily work with Mayflower on future projects.

Mayflower construction completed a master bath renovation for us and it turned out fantastic. First the company is really easy to work with. We opted to go through the design process because we were making a big change by removing the tub and needed some help in figuring out how to relocate shower etc. They took our ideas and created a great design- offering valuable suggestions all along. Material selection at their showroom was super easy.
As for the work itself, they do a great job. The crew is very courteous and takes great care in cleaning up and keeping things secure along the pathway to the project. They are respectful and pleasant which is important since they’re in the house all day. Mayflower Construction has a keen attention to detail which is reflected in their work. There’s no cutting corners and everyone is very easy to work with. I appreciate all the check-ins and updates and their swift responses to any questions.
And on top of it all, they were one of the cheaper quotes that we got for the renovation so we are overall super satisfied.

We first met with Nicole to talk through the design and construction process for a kitchen remodel. As we were envisioning the new kitchen, we realized that we wanted to expand the scope of work into the dining and living rooms to make for a more cohesive look and open up a wall for better flow. Nicole was very flexible with us and quickly adjusted the plan and was very conscientious of our budget. For us, the planning process with Nicole was key- she created the renderings of the kitchen and we mocked up our space to really get a feel for the final dimensions. While the planning seemed to go quickly the construction went even faster. The field team, led by Alex and Frank, was wonderful! We cannot speak highly enough of Frank and the team; they were efficient, highly skilled and kept the space really clean, and perhaps most importantly, kept to the timeline. Part of our project was removing older linoleum tiles and replacing with hardwood and Alessandro did a great job of blending new oak flooring with the original 60’s flooring without any seams. Elmer made us a custom iron stair railing that really elevates the space. We will definitely be using the Mayflower team again as we update other aspects of our home because we feel that the pricing was fair and the craftmanship was excellent.

Their attention to to detail is uniquely superior to any other contractor that I've ever worked with. I don't need to tell you that their works looks amazing, but more than that, I'm confident that it will look amazing 20 years from now too. Build quality is best in class.

I was extremely happy with Mayflower Construction Group. From the first meeting to the final reveal of my bathroom remodel they were responsive, timely and very pleasant to work with. I had a large bathroom project and was uncertain about colors and tile selections. The designer at Mayflower was helpful regarding current trends in bathrooms as well as guiding me toward the right size and color for tile, countertops, mirrors and cabinets. The crew was so great. They worked LONG hours everyday and cleaned up each night. They were so unobtrusive and quiet, I could not believe it. I felt completely comfortable having them in the house for several weeks. There were some special things that the Mayflower team did as well. They built a custom cabinet to match my vanity for me, at a very reasonable price. I could not have bought a cabinet for what they charged me to build it. In addition, Mayflower really helped me by getting the job done prior to the holidays, so I could host my family and not have construction items around. I know this caused their crew to work extra hours and I was very grateful that they were willing to do it. Their pricing was in line with other vendors that I talked to. I felt totally comfortable throughout the entire process. It was such a good experience, I'm looking at redoing my kitchen ! If I decide to do that, I will definitely use Mayflower Construction Group again.

I chose Mayflower Construction Group based upon the recommendation of a friend. My master bathroom and half bath were in need of renovation. They were the original from 30 years ago.
The project manager came to the house and explained the process. I then went to the showroom to pick out materials. The project manager was helpful and willing to share her expertise when I was undecided. A contract was signed and the work was quickly scheduled.
The workers are very diligent. They keep to a schedule, work independently and they are trustworthy. I was able to stay at home during the renovation process. The workers are considerate and take precautions to protect your walkways and personal belongings.
I was nervous about the final product as this was my first renovation but I was completely pleased with the result. The renovations modernized and brightened the bathrooms making them appear larger.

Project was stared on time and finished within a reasonable schedule. Some materials were shipped incorrectly by a supplier, but I was notified immediately of the problem, the solution, and the estimated time effects. The crew was professional and respectful. They took the appropriate protective measures regarding the traffic areas that they were going to use and quickly addressed any trouble areas that occurred. During the final inspection, the representative noticed flaws that I had not noticed and had his team address them. I'm satisfied with the final product and am enjoying my new bathroom. They're a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for.

I decided I wanted to renovate and do something a little more modern that might need a designer to help me select materials. I was recommended to Mayflower and decided to just stop in their showroom. I spoke with Nicole and she walked me through a few choices and pricing. She came to the house next and began helping me pick out all the materials. We spent a few months going back and fourth before we finalized. When construction started, it moved so fast. The workers were very skilled and it took then only 8 days to complete a complete master bathroom and a vanity replacement in my second bathroom. I had a friend do essentially the same project with another company and it took a month. Overall, I'm extremely pleased and love the new bathrooms. They are absolutely gorgeous.

I cannot recommend Mayflower Construction enough. We hired them to remodel a bathroom for my 89 year old mother with limited eyesight who lives at the Rotunda in McClean, VA. We live in California. Needless to say, we thought it would be challenging to take on such a project remotely. However, working with Nicole from Mayflower was a breeze!

The main purpose of the project was to make the bathroom safer for my mother, while also updating the original bathroom to something more modern. While we haven't visited the finished product yet, we were given videos, photos and updates every step of the way and it looks beautiful. Nicole helped my mother and some of her friends to make the stone and fixtures selections and did so with exactly the right amount of recommendations, reassurance, and simplicity that worked for her. The project went exactly as Nicole said it would from the start and it was perfectly on time and on budget. The workers were very considerate of my mother and her home and were always on time and neat. The communication and support we received from Nicole was the biggest key to making this project so easy and pleasant for everyone involved. We only wish we could hire Mayflower Construction for a project for ourselves in California.

This was my first renovation I had ever done and being a first time homeowner I was nervous. The folks at Mayflower Construction were very nice, accommodating, thorough and detailed. I appreciated that everything in the contract was broken down by price. They were also great about any add-ons my husband and I had to the project. Communication was good and being a first renovator, I didn't know all my options for certain things like outlets, finishing work on countertops or cabinets and a few of those things were decided for me but when I didn't like it, they quickly remedied the situation and that was very important to me. When the wrong color cabinets were ordered, they corrected the mistake within a few days. When our new range hood took 7 weeks to come in, they worked with us on timeline to finish all the finishing touches. When a company takes responsibility for a mistake and doesn't make excuses and promptly corrects it, that's a company I will hire and work with again. Because let's face it, nobody's perfect but honesty and integrity are high value words to describe a company and I definitely will say that Mayflower Construction Group is honest and has integrity.

Mayflower construction group remodeled my master bathroom. I got several different estimates and Mayflower was the only one that took time to listen to what I wanted and give me what I wanted. The only problem we had was a shipment delay for the bathroom tile. I don't believe that was mayflowers fault. We stayed within budget. I am in love with my bathroom! I cannot say enough about the excellent workers from Mayflower. They went beyond and above to protect my property. They were very polite and considerate. Working with Nicole in particular and Mayflower in general, was a joy. Nicole made everything easy. I would definitely use them again.

I did a Google search and ended up with Mayflower construction. I was impressed with pictures of their prior projects and spoke with people who used them in the past. I can honestly say they didn’t disappoint. The project was done on time and on budget. I didn’t have to micromanage things as I have had to with other contractors. My basement looks great, and I have Mayflower stored in my phone for the next time I should need things done. They really are reliable people who know what to do and who do it with integrity!

Wow! I feel like Mayflower has become part of my family. I brought them right after a plumbing disaster that resulted in the loss of my kitchen, basement and half of the hardwood floors in the living and dining rooms. The insurance company was a big hold up. Nicole and Alex were so patient trying to work with the Claims Reviewer. I was in constant communication with everyone throughout this process. Nicole was very responsive. Ultimately, everything was worked out the day before Thanksgiving. Mayflower started working immediately, they worked on Thanksgiving. They were able to build me a new kitchen, a new basement and replace the hardwood floors in three weeks. The results were absolutely gorgeous. I love my new kitchen and my basement is so pretty I feel bad just using it for storage. I would recommend them highly to anyone wanting or needing to do work in their home.

The best contractor and we have built 4 houses and 2 business project in the past. They are very professional friendly accommodating and do really good work. After the work is done they come back and do things to our liking which is very few because they do it right from the beginning, we were an absentee owner and was communicating thru messages and it turned perfect, I highly recommend them highly, Alex the owner is very nice complementing the store manager Nicole who is very nice and friendly and has design idea, The crew were very honest nice and very clean.

This was our first major remodeling job and we selected Mayflower because of their competitive pricing and a very helpful and professional staff to renovate our rental condo. Mayflower delivered the work they promised and on time. What was especially attractive was their one-year guarantee of their work and the repair team was very prompt when we needed to have couple of things followed up such as re-caulking parts of the bathtub and replaced the defective bathroom mirror without question. We were looking for someone that we could establish relations with since we were also looking to renovate our own home and we will be working with Mayflower again soon.

Mayflower renovated our masterbath, and kitchen simultaneously and exceeded our expectations throughout the entire project. Mayflower was able to balance multiple major projects and scheduling to ensure work was completed on time and on budget. Being an architect, I worry about contractors every day. I never had to think twice about Mayflower and their staff. Everyone is professional, experienced and makes you as the client feel safe and secure that your project will be completed to the standards they would employ for their own personal homes. They corrected things we did not even pick up on, and if we noticed something during the construction they would immediately take care of it. Communication was easy, we had to have a couple days where we had prior obligations and could not have work on site for a couple days, Mayflower was able to schedule around our schedule. We love our new space and can't wait to test all the recipes from the cooking shows we've been watching on Netflix during the renovations! Overall working with Mayflower was a great experience and we plan to recommend them for fiend's and family's kitchen and bath projects.

Mayflower Construction exceeded our expectations from the very beginning. At the onset, we took bids from 3-5 firms for our master suite/bathroom renovation. Mayflower immediately went above and beyond the others by conducting a thorough walkthrough and interview, invited us to visit their showroom for a meeting, and worked with us diligently through the quote process, which included a design exercise that no other offeror provided. This was far different from the others that sent cost estimates with no detail; the fact that Mayflower was comfortably in the middle of the pack, cost-wise, sealed the deal (Nicole worked extremely hard to get us everything we wanted at the budget we needed).

A small company that values personalized service, quality, and realistic timeframes is hard to find. Moreover, the company values are self-evident from its owner, to the manager, to the construction team. It is understandable that for many people, renovations can be daunting and stressful; however, the Mayflower team makes each step pleasurable and enjoyable.
Finally, as a practicing architect for 28 years (and an extremely picky one, as my clients would say), I never felt I had to supervise their work. Their professionalism is outstanding! Mayflower did an awesome job start to finish. The 3D design software was very cool, and made it easy to pick what we wanted the kitchen to look like. The real thing was just like the design, exactly what we wanted and then some. Everyone is blown away by the final product, and all assume it costs A LOT more than it really did. They were professional, on-time, and went the extra mile to make everything right.

messaged me day of 1/20 at 6:42 PM and said they were available to meet on 1/20, which made no sense. I wrote back immediately that it was 1/20 and 6:43 PM but that I would be available to meet with them on 1/21. 1/22. or 1/23 at any time. They never responded.

Mayflower Construction has done 2 projects for us now. The first was a basement renovation and the second was redoing our master bedroom. That included a bathroom renovation, adding a walk in closet, and building built ins. Their work is great! We are planning another project in the spring/ summer and will be hiring them again.

For the bathroom remodeling, we went with the "Comfort" option and are incredibly happy with the quality of the job done. When there were minor touch up issues to handle afterward, they were resolved immediately, even after payment was already received. We decided to completely remodel our Kitchen and decided to go with Mayflower based on past experience wth them (bathroom remodel) and a very good price quote for the work we needed done. We had our kitchen completely gutted and had new flooring, cabinets, and counters/backsplash installed. They were very good working with us on redesigning the counter/cabinet /lighting layout to make it more attractive and work better while also staying within our budget. All of the managers and workers are very professional and keep everything very clean and tidy and everything also has been proceeding exactly on schedule. Would definitely recommend for this kind of work.

As a retired investigator, I did my due diligence in checking out the company. After talking to and researching many kitchen companies, I decided to go with Mayflower. Our master bath renovation completed by Mayflower in April 2017 is everything we hoped for! Every project once underway has some details to work out, and they were very good at discussing options. They were excellent regarding protective covering on entryways and access areas to the project; and were very tidy on a daily basis.
