yes I just had to file a suit against him took a deposit and refused to return calls or show up for work. I had a police officer call him then he called be back and tried to make up excuses. I told him I want a refund which Im sure I will never see. i am going to press charges to try to get my deposit back. he lives in my town and the cops and other contractors are on to him now.

Hired this company in April 2022 for roof and siding replacement. Gave a large deposit that was requested. Roof was done within a week. Siding was removed and NEVER came back! Many calls/texts/emails ignored by owner Miguel Zapata. I went without siding on my home for THREE MONTHS. I eventually had to hire another contractor to finish my house. I had an attorney send him a demand letter which Miguel did receive and never responded. Today I filed a law suit against him. He's a fraud!

This company is a fraud. I am dealing with a nightmare because of them. The owner Mike (Miguel Zapata) is the type of contractor you stay away from. He will take your money, do some of the work (with it being done wrong and not by industry standards) and then disappear. I have called and texted him but all I get is radio silence. I had to get another company to not only finish his work but redo it all. He does not know what he is doing but acts as though he does. He was supposed to do our patio but never finished it. Had uneven patio pavers with weeds already growing through even though they were just "installed". The retaining wall was filled with dirt instead of stone. I only knew about this because the new company is having to redo it and was shocked it was done this way. You are not supposed to put the soil you dig up from your clients yard into the retaining wall because over time rain will wash it away as well as have grass and weeds growing inside of it until it busts out of it. Not only was that part done wrong but it was not even with the property. Even the retaining wall caps were glued upside down. Mike is a complete joke and full of excuses and lies. I am going to make it my mission to let everyone know the quality of work you are getting with him. Aside from the retaining wall being constructed wrong and the patio pavers moving around he also destroyed my lawn so I have to spend money on it getting reseeded. Something I was quoted with a time frame of 5 days has gone into 3 months. Mind you it's not a large patio that was being created so there is no excuse he has for it. Plus I never knew when any of his workers would show up. In the span of a week they probably showed up twice. Sometimes with weeks going by before anyone would come. He does not know what he is doing and unfortunately I have been scammed by him. I will do what I can to get my money back but just want to let everyone know to stay away from this company. BUYER BEWARE.

It’s really no stars - continue reading. Miguel Zapata and NJ Strong Construction accepted and cashed my $2,500 deposit check in April 2023 and has never shown up or responded since. Business license is lapsed. Buyer beware, this business and representative is a scam. No excuse for such unprofessional behavior, it reflects extremely poorly and trying to make certain he doesn’t do the same to others in the NNJ area.
