Del Thornton, owner of both Yuba City Floor Covering and Colusa Floor Covering, has been in the flooring industry for over 50 years. Del grew up on the family farm/cattle ranch where he developed a hard-working, hands–on work ethic.
In his twenties he became a flooring apprentice at a company in the Sacramento area; where he honed his skills, and soon became certified in all aspects of floor covering.
In 1970, Del opened his own local floor covering store which he built from the ground up; with the help from his friends. He solicited local county offices, planning commissions, residential and commercial contractors, property management firms and realtors. In this manner, through hard work and dedication, he has developed a loyal following of customers; of whom he continues to conduct business with to this day.
