Odyssey Builders Construction

I love to build. And looking back I’ve been on a journey to this point of starting and owning my own company my entire life. It began while playing LEGO as a kid to following my passion graduating from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management.

Throughout my professional career, I’ve searched for the right fit as I balanced my personal and professional lives. I started out sitting behind a computer all day doing fire sprinkler design and drafting but quickly realized I needed to be more active. I went into bridge building and highway construction but those projects aren’t exactly in your backyard.

I settled into the Bay Area working for large General Contractors such as Webcor, Cahill Contractors, and Clark Construction. I even had a stint at Kaiser Permanente. My superintending experience ranges among the following: large multi-family, dormitory, mixed use, health care, and aviation. All of this, however, continually pulled me away from my family and my own home projects.

With all this experience gained, I felt God calling me to stay closer to home to be more available for my wife and three boys. I also felt like God was calling me to help others take their next steps in their journey, to help them realize their visions.
