    My Nguyen has been a reliable and talented contractor with many different skills. I have been impressed with the work he has done so far on our house. Unlike some other contractors, he has excellent written communication and promptly provides detailed quotes and receipts. So far he has built a hogwire fence for us around our property perimeter. He re-framed a complete mess of an interior door and did a partial demolition of an unsafe chimney that was poorly hidden behind drywall in a bedroom. The difference is dramatic and we are really pleased with the work.

    My is dependable and reasonably priced. He is continuing to work projects for us on our fixer-upper of a house and I am glad a neighbor recommended him.

    Kitchen renovation (countertops , back splash and cabinets)

    We hired Mr. Nguyen back in June 2020 for a project to start on September 2020. A kitchen renovation for countertops and cabinet make over. We decided to start in September as per Mr. Nguyen's suggestion as the materials will be ordered and will give enough time to prep.

    On August 2020, we gave Mr. Nguyen $6180 in cash to purchase materials at Home Depot. Project start time has come and gone and we did not receive any materials, no follow up, and no show from Mr. Nguyen.

    After a month of waiting we decided to just cancel the project because Mr. Nguyen has been missing in action with out any contact or reply to our repeated requests through texts and emails. Mr. Nguyen agreed to give us a full refund and thus the waiting game has begun.

    It took Mr. Nguyen 1 month before he was able to give us half of our money, and promising the other half a week later. The other half never happened and we have been waiting almost a year for the other refund.

    We have filed a small claims suit against him through King county district court

    Mr. Nguyen contacted us on April saying he has the rest of our refund, but as before he does not show up to the agreed time and date and location of his choice. He is now back in hiding avoiding calls and text messages. He took our hard earned money and disappeared.

    Retaining walls, fencing, pavers, extending driveway with concrete

    I’ve reached out to the contractor back in June 2020. The contractor name is My. He was very professional and demonstrated great knowledge. My husband and I decided to go with him for our fencing, retaining walls, pavers, and extending driveway with concrete project. Per our contract, he promise me the project should take about 5 to 10 days for it to be completed to my satisfaction. My and his crew started the project mid July. What started off to be a very promising completion turns out to be such a great disappointment. Almost 3 months into the project now and NOTHING is completed (please see the photos I’ve posted). What My promises us in the beginning turned out to be empty promises as well as his level of professionalism is absolutely to nothing. He would tell us he’s going to finish up the project in the next couple of days, which turns out to be no call and no show. He would disappear on us for a week at a time. I would call and text him with absolutely no responses back. This is not acceptable as I live in a HOA neighborhood. It is embarrassing for my family to have our house in the condition it is left by My. I’v tried working this out with him many times as well as tried to be understanding of his situation. It has reached a point where my husband and I cannot trust him anymore. I am not a type of person who write reviews online for people/businesses and definitely not bad reviews. If My would of been more honest and professional then it wouldn’t have escalated to this point where I need to take my time to write this terrible experience I’m currently dealing with My. Bottom line is do NOT use him as your contractor for any exterior/interior job.
