Prime Renovations began in 2010 when a grandfather and grandson teamed together to provide quality custom home remodels in the Knoxville area. With decades of combined experience, Chuck Steimer and Troy Wilson set out to run a successful family business while also providing outstanding workmanship and detailed oversight on each project. Grandpa Chuck has since retired but Troy and his wife Rachel, who joined the business in 2015, continue to run Prime Renovations with the same focus and priorities as when it began.
We pride ourselves on doing things right and doing what we say we will do for the price we promised. Our team gives each project the full attention and care it requires from handling selection details to checking the final item off the punch list. Troy is involved in all aspects of the business as the owner and General Contractor. Rachel handles communications, finish selections, and invoicing, and Nathan Johnson, our Project Manager who joined us in 2018, ensures every job gets the hands-on attention it deserves. We strive to complete each project according to plan and if there are snags in the schedule or scope, we communicate with homeowners quickly and honestly and will always do whatever is necessary to make it right!

Prime Renovations has been voted Best Remodeling Contractor in Knoxville by Cityview Magazine readers several times and we are proud members of the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce, Home Builders Association of Greater Knoxville, and the Better Business Bureau. Most of our business comes from repeat clients and referrals which is aligned with our company values. Knoxville is our home and we are excited to be a part of the growth and energy of the city while making an impact by helping homeowners bring their remodeling vision to life!
