At the age of 20, Bob started working for a very well-known, west suburban HVAC company that specialized in high-end custom HVAC installation. He loved the industry, worked extra hours to gain experience and quickly rose through the ranks. After about 10 years in the custom HVAC market, Bob was given an opportunity to work for a HVAC contractor on the production side.
When the economy tanked in 2008, Bob lost his job. Due to his love for the industry, Bob started fixing and installing air conditioning units for family and friends. A few years later, he and his wife Brandy incorporated PWA Heating & Cooling, which is named after their three children (Phoenix, Wrigley and Addison). Bob is kind of the neighborhood ‘HVAC hero.’
While we are a for-profit business, Bob gets satisfaction helping people in need and the business has grown based on word-of-mouth advertising. We started out as production installers, added custom HVAC design and installation and light HVAC commercial design and installation five years ago. In fact, Bob walked into a builder’s office one day and asked for the work. The guy just happened to need a new HVAC installer and we were hired.
All of our employees have been with us since the beginning and are a big reason we are able to build our business on the trust with create with our customers. We are not going to try and sell them something they don't need it. We don't nickel and dime them. If their furnace stops working and it's because they haven't changed their filter, we are not going to charge them $89.00. Everyone needs a break now and again.

We also take the time to keep up to date on classes and certifications so the best possible service is being provided. PWA has monthly classes and training sessions that include S30 thermostat installation, zoning training, EL296V and SLP98V installation. As the industry evolves we vow to keep apace so our customers are never left behind.
