Reagan Design + Construction
Reagan Design + Construction is a Knoxville general contractor. We specialize in historical restorations, new construction, and additions—both residential and commercial.
Jordan Reagan Wilkerson founded the company with her mother, Dawn, in 2003 and began building new homes in Knoxville. Luke Wilkerson joined the company in 2012 as Project Manager. Luke brings technical expertise and an eye for excellence to every construction, renovation, and roofing project. He comes from a long line of master craftsmen, and that heritage is evident in every decision he makes.
Jordan and Luke would be the first to admit that construction is not the easiest way to make a living. It is full of surprises, both good and bad.
So why have we stayed in the business?
For starters, we care about Knoxville. Few things are more satisfying to us than saving a blighted or condemned property, taking a house that was an eyesore and transforming it into a beautiful, functional home.
People keep places vital. And we are, in turn, sustained and inspired by the rooms and spaces in which we live, work, and play.
It has been our great pleasure and headache to tackle a number of renovation projects in historic Knoxville neighborhoods. Honoring the character of a old home while also making it new and more livable requires skill and finesse. Not just any blueprint, material, or technique will do.
In a way each of these projects is like writing a new chapter for a classic work of literature. For example, we restored and built out a two-story brick storefront in downtown Knoxville. You can imagine the creative and intellectual challenges that a 120-year-old building represents.
So why do we bother with all of the gory details—this copper flashing and that clay tile; these custom cabinets or those era-specific light fixtures?
We can’t help themselves. We love it. We love the process, we love the relationships, and we love our community. For fourteen years now, our family business has tried to make Knoxville better by building beautiful.
