By Vicky J.July 13, 2018Master Bathroom remodel$30,000
Please do not hire Rocky Mountain Shore Construction for any remodeling project!
A master bathroom remodel we were told would take 3 weeks, took over 5 months due his lack of supervision, no resources, no credit, using Craig’s List for unskilled subs, continual family issues and excuses, having to redo bathroom sections because of improper work, and many no-show days. Final workmanship is substandard as viewed by experienced tile contractors we brought in. And oh my goodness the mess and waste by both him and his subs! Have photos to prove it all. He was deceitful about his background experience, the ordering of any supplies, his work plans, and his family situations. -

Sub standard work, unskilled employees. Left my yard in a complete mess, did not clean up any of their mess. It took 6 weeks to complete a 4 day job. Very displeased with the quality if workmanship !

Horrible experience. In my opinion, this general contractor engages in out-and-out fraud, misrepresentation and conversion. Work is substandard, actually hazardous to the occupants (carbon monoxide back flowing into the house on 3 different occasions), major water leaks in roof into house; water leaks in basement and storage room; payments to subcontractors slow to non-existent with multiple checks from the general contractor to the subcontractor bouncing; failure to show up on the job for weeks at a time and when they do a lack of materials or supplies for the subcontractors who show up. Multiple delays for "family issues" "car issues" "subcontractor issues." In our experience and opinion, this company lays the blame on everyone else and has an excuse for everything, but takes no responsibility. Chris Shore has been convicted of multiple felonies and there are pending lawsuits by others (Denver District Court and Adams County) and a Demand for Arbitration by us against him. We hired him to do a $420,000 addition to our home that should have taken 4 months and is still not done after 10 months and we are having to hire additional people to finish off the project and undo the damage he has done. Mr. Shore pulled a permit for our home in the name of another company that he used to work for and when my husband called the owner of the other company, the other company was unaware that he was listed as the contractor on our building permit. Rocky Mountain Shore Construction cancelled its liability insurance before final completion of the project. In my opinion, whatever unethical business practices you can think of have been attempted on this job by Chris Shore and Rocky Mountain Shore Construction.

We gave this Contractor a deposit for a room addition and never heard from him again. He couldn't get our permit approved by the City & County of Broomfield. We had to take him to court. BEWARE!

Same experience as the other reviews. Hired him to do 3 bathrooms and it was supposed to be 4-6 weeks. 4 months later we were begging and pleading him to complete two. He never finished the third bathroom but took part of the money for it. The work done looks awful. Such a terrible experience.
