Lancaster Home Remodeling renovated our unfinished basement. The renovation included a family room, playroom, laundry room, and full bathroom. Total it was about 550 sq ft. We did all high-end fixtures, surfaces and included some architectural details with 3 closets build in cubicles under the stairs. All existing windows were replaced. We were able to keep our existing stairs which were stained and updated, it looks gorgeous and as if they were brand new. The attention to detail that John and his team provided to our home was unmatched. He is most certainly a skilled craftsman. All scheduled remained on target throughout the entire process and gave ample heads-up for large project work/construction that could inconvenience us, which enabled us to be better prepared – e.g. new plumbing, painting etc.

As much as we can continue on about the quality of work, which could not have been any better, what makes working with John and Kim is the personal, patient, respectful, and friendly approach that mirrors the old work ethic that you get in a small family business. They were upfront about their pricing and open to ensuring that we had all of our questions answered before, during and after our renovation. On the occasions that we needed to make changes they did not disrupt our timeline and John ensured that we were educated about the implications of our change. Examples were changing laundry room layout, vanity size, taking down a wall, selecting tile style, closet placement, etc. The few subcontractors that John used were all equally as committed to the highest quality work and were available for questions throughout the renovation. John did majority of the work and was there to supervise his subcontractors so they were also aware of our vision and plans. Given the breadth of the project, we were surprised how clean the space looked at the end of each workday. This was very helpful as we still used the basement during construction for laundry.
