We purchased a home last year rehabbed by Smith Park Maintenance, LLC. Half of the construction is fine but the other half has been a nightmare. We've had multiple plumbing issues. First the upstairs toilet was not properly secured and leaked through the roof. Second, a pipe burst during the winter because is was not covered with black foam nor was there insulation surrounding the wall (which our repair man informed us was against city code). Now our shower is leaking through the living room roof.
There are other issues as well, such as the dishwasher not properly being secured, shoddy grout jobs in the showers and around tile, and simple cover up jobs, such as covering broken concrete in the basement with carpet. The drywall upstairs is cracking all over the place.
When we first looked at the home it looked great. But it appears that the new construction was more of a cover up job than anything else. We have spent $1000s over the last year and anticipate we'll be spending more $1000s in the coming years.
Be very careful purchasing a home rehabbed by Smith Park Maintenance.
