Founded in 1977, Stephen L. Ball Architect, Inc. established itself with several projects in San Marino, California, before moving to Brentwood in 1984. Stephen designs and oversees the construction of projects throughout the United States, Hawaii, Italy, France, Spain, Canada, Saudi Arabia, and Mexico. Many of these clients choose him on referrals from delighted clients, a level of approval shared by the press. Both national and international magazines regularly showcase his works--some have even become movie sets.

Commissions range from sensitive historic renovations to structurally challenging and technologically innovative projects in prestigious areas throughout the world. Utilizing state of the art computer aided architectural and communications technology, the firm is particularly skilled in complex construction on hillsides, ocean-front, and remote sites, and in easy to use intelligent building systems. His designs have won numerous awards in competitions such as those sponsored by the American Institute of Architects.

In addition to Stephen’s architectural career, he is a licensed California General Contractor and has partnered in numerous real estate development projects throughout California.

Founder Stephen Ball is a Los Angeles native and graduate of the acclaimed University of Southern California School of Architecture. Following post graduate work in Industrial Design at the University of California at Los Angeles, Stephen joined Raymond Loewy in Paris, France, as project designer. His career spans all phases of architectural consulting, design, and construction and includes positions with the Beverly Hills firms of Victor Gruen Associates and Industrial Design Affiliates; as director of planning and development for a major US industrial corporation; and as Chief Creative officer of H&H Design Ltd, Jeddah-Los Angeles.
