Rooted in a third-generation legacy that began in the 1940s in Idaho Falls under the leadership of Lyle G. Bowen, our construction division reflects decades of evolution, resilience, and hands-on industry experience.
Originally established as a land and insurance enterprise and formally incorporated in 1954 as Bowen Insurance Company Inc., the business built a strong reputation for stability and strategic growth throughout the region. By the late 1970s, the company expanded into construction and building supply, marking the beginning of a new era focused on shaping the built environment.
Through the 1980s and 1990s, operations were structured across specialized divisions, allowing the company to grow while maintaining the values of craftsmanship, accountability, and long-term relationships.
In the mid-2000s, leadership transitioned to the next generation, bringing operations to the Dallas–Fort Worth area and setting the stage for modern expansion. In 2016, the company entered its current chapter as Stonemeyer Construction.
Today, our construction division operates as a full-service general contractor serving multifamily, residential, and commercial markets. Our work includes:

• High-end residential expansions, renovations, and custom builds
• Commercial finish-out across hospitality, medical, educational, entertainment, and mixed-use spaces
