I wish I could give a negative star rating!!! These people are thieves and liars!!! DO NOT BUILD WITH DUNHILL OR ANY OF ITS SUCCESOR COMPANIES AS YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!!!!
My list with these people is so long it's ridiculous:
*3 weeks before the completion of our home we were not informed the project manager separated from the company. We had to continuously follow up to get a new PM
*On the one week before close walk thru, my wife and the PM#2 are going over the final touches to be re-done. The list was long and we HAD TO ask the PM to write everything down to make sure nothing was missed. He reluctantly did but in looking at what he wrote, I didn't think his notes made much sense. Final walk through, one hour before signing closing docs, with less than half of the items on the list completed the PM argued with my wife about what as included on the list and inferred she was not being honest as to what was originally included on the list. After a few words were exchanged between myself and the PM#2, we were reassured that post close they would finish work in a week. The list was never completed by PM#3 after the 30 day move-in period.
*During the build my wife questioned PM#1 why were trash and building materials being thrown into bathtubs. We were informed it was standard practice and to determine if the tub would hold water. Fast forward 2 years later and the master bath tub is not properly sealed and continues to need refinishing. We were informed by the contractor that the issue stems the not being properly cleaned and sealed from the beginning.
*We were not informed that internet would not be operational for months. At the time my wife worked remotely which would have been a deal breaker for us building, but I am sure that's why the detail was omitted.
* We were informed by PM#4 that Dunhill failed to adequately space my lot and that I would have to pay to install French drains on either side of my house to prevent foundation damage.
*Just recently discovered erosion in my back yard underneath the gutter spout that exposes pipes and wiring. This is just a small sampling of issues with this "company". I am doing the best I can to keep a professional tone. I realize that if I made this a profanity laced tirade that would be an opportunity for them to discount my experience saying I am unreasonable. Please read this understand if you build with them you will be sorry. I DARE ANY PERSON FROM DUNHILL/TRENDMAKER to respond to me and question the validity of my claims. I DARE YOU

Dunhill- Ventana edition Fort Worth- liars and you end up with a lemon! DO NOT SIGN-CLOSE UNTIL WORK IS COMPLETE- small clause once you sign house is "AS IS" condition and all problems are on the buyer. Dunhill word is worthless and are dependent on warranty to clean up their sloppy work. Drainage issues noted on two home inspections, kitchen island not square, 3rd car garage door brick and rock disaster, 3rd car garage back door water intrusion. 2 roof leaks, 6" rebar sticking out of foundation, and the list goes on. All work to be done before closing...it wasn't. Home went through a so called Dunhill QA inspection and the deficiencies noted we not all completed. A second inspection by us revealed the aforementioned problems that were promised to be fixed but weren't. STAY AWAY FROM DUNHILL VENTANA FORT WORTH!

Read and re-read every review. My husband and I could have written them all word-for-word. That has been the saddest (yet most validated) feeling. To know this is not only our experience. It is heartbreaking. We love the "look" of our home. We loves working with our salesperson (Laura Mcclain)... but they take zero pride in finishing out these homes. It is sloppy work- to say the least. As the woman said above- she has spent time cleaning up messes/grout/paint all over her floors. As have we. We also were asked if we were sure the dogs didnt cause situations. Really? Most people have dogs. Most builders do NOT try to blame their subpar craftsmanship on the homeowner's pets. They will literally look for ANY reason to get out of repairing something. Had we known, we WOULD NOT HAVE SIGNED THE CONTRACT UNTIL EVERY SINGLE ISSUE WAS CORRECTED. If you build with them, that would be my advice. Otherwise, nothing will be repaired. As the lady also mentioned: the window was put on backwards with the lock facing the outside. That tells you how inept these people are. We have the silliest things needing repair - caulking, base boards, cracks, cabinets that wont close.... it would take me all day to write the things down. We can get nobody to repair anything properly. AT ALL.

We had a HORRIBLE and DISAPPOINTING experience with Dunhill homes at Frisco Hills community. We had certain requirements of placement of rooms in the house, and to meet our requirement, they charged extra $8,000 as a premium lot price. But when the house is built, the house is NOT BUILT per the signed contract and so none of the requirements are not met. The garage is built on the left side of the entrance instead of the right side, as in the contract. So the house turned out to beJUST OPPOSITE of what we want :) How disappointing it is?
I started the home buying process April 2016, and now I am at the end of Feb 2017, Now just a day before closing the loan, they found out this. How can a builder make such a horrible mistake, which is irreparable?
And from the Dunhill Home, what we got an apology and option of walk out with the earnest money deposit. What about all the pain went thru all these processes? load process? Now if I want to buy a house of this type what I am looking for additional 25-30K.
We are consulting with an attorney to see if a legal action is possible to compensate the damage.
SO as many people said, RUN AWAY FROM DUNHILL, and find some other builder for the piece of mind.

I would never recommend Dunhill they messed up on so many details for example the front door had drippings all on it that dried and they did fix it and they will correct all these details that really we should not be dealing with the tile was knocked out and they replaced it with clear gel who does that and the wood cabinets are all marked up with scratches and white paint also I have had to clean up all the paint splatters on our wood floor myself when we built from the ground up then there are so many others that it would take me all day to write them oh yea and when we contacted the customer service main guy he said we already lived in it for two months are we sure our dogs did not scratch our floors up and yes they did although many were done by very poor work from the guys I could not believe that and as poor of a job as they did on this house they shouldn't ask any questions like that my goodness the wall was not painted at all and the window was on backwards with the lock on the outside.

I have a Dunhill home and it’s literally falling apart inside and out! The masonry work is absolutely horrific!!!! There are major cracks in the interior walls and exterior bricks! What a complete dissatisfaction! If I could get out of this house today I would. I served 28 years in the United States Army. I moved from duty station to duty station 14 times (involuntarily). Once I found this home, I was very hopeful that I wouldn’t ever have to move again. However, this home is only 3 years old and I feel like it’s 30 years already! I need help getting out of my contract ASAP!!!
