    We purchased a Westwood Custom home in 2017 and it was one of the best big decisions we have ever made. It was, and continues to be, our dream home. It is evident that every detail and space was thoughtfully designed and well-constructed. Care and attention were made in the decision of every fixture and finish, using quality products and outstanding installation. Gene has helped us with some projects and questions post-purchase and his responsiveness and execution are superb as well.
    We are so grateful to Gene and Ruth for their incredible work on our house. They created a home that is both very current but also classic and will stand the test of time. We love it today and know we will love it in twenty years.

    Build new home

    Gene made what could have been a very stressful process easily manageable for us! From the plan selection throughout the entire construction process Gene was always available! He & Ruth were very helpful in making design and decorative suggestions that were just what we loved! His onsite presence, attention to detail and interaction with his contractors earned him their respect and ours! We are proud to have a Westwood Custom Home and highly recommend Gene!

    Outstanding builder, outstanding person

    Gene was fantastic! This was our first house, and a semi-custom one at that. First off, Gene is honest and organized, which we quickly realized and repeatedly observed. Second off, Gene is really a dedicated, on site, quality sort of builder. He has worked with the same sub-contractors for years, and they are outstanding. In addition, Gene is available and present, always catching little things and keeping everything running smoothly. Gene both offered advice and was exceptionally open minded to our requests. He really got us, got our style and understood our priorities. When it comes to style, his wife Ruth is also a great resource. She has a keen eye for how things will all fit together, and on several occasions was the most important voice when deciding on options. Overall, the experience was such a pleasure (and of course a privilege). If you have the chance to build a house with Gene, know you'll be in good, honest, and dedicated hands.

    Gene recently built a new home for us in Portland. He made the process very easy and stress-free. He is very knowledgable and patient. He is very focused on details and getting everything right. More than one subcontractor mentioned to us that Gene demands perfection and that they appreciated his approach. He is very honest and courteous and struck just the right balance between giving us freedom to choose and not allowing us to make mistakes in our choices. Gene is also a very honorable person and has a great deal of integrity. It was a pleasure working with him and I would wholeheartedly recommend him to my friends and family. We had an excellent experience and now have a house that is well built and safe.

    Gene Brodsky of Westwood Homes built two homes for us, one in Tigard and one on Cooper Mountain. Both times we have been very pleased with his attention to detail, quality of workmanship, timeliness, honesty and courtesy. He builds houses that are rock solid. There was no punch list when we moved in; six years later the same is true.     I have recently purchased my first bank owned home and wanted to fix it up myself to save money. Not having enough knowledge about building structure or remodeling, I started searching for general contractors and came across Westwood Custom Homes. After speaking with other general remodeling contractors; Westwood Custom Homes appeared to be more experienced and realistic with me, especially when it came to my wish list. They respected my budget and understood my end goals with the remodel.

    At the end of the project I was satisfied with the work that was done on my house. I would recommend Gene Brodsky of Westwood Custom Homes to my closest friends and family.
