The cottage, I have been told, must be built on stilts because of it being so close to the water. We are not looking for anything fancy, just a house in the summer, as basic as can be. Looking to take an unfinished attic and finish it: insulation, drywall, running electrical with outlets up, duct work, ensuring the floor is sized up to handle the added weight to be added. Then, installing a bathroom (just tub, no shower) in the back half of the building, running plumbing up from the bathroom right below it. And a walk-in closet in the front half of the attic.
