Lining up general contractors for an estimate on a property being acquired. I signed the offer acceptance today, 7/26 and have an inspector coming by Thursday, 8/1.
It is a duplex that was built in 1910. 3 beds, 1 lower, and 2 beds, 1 upper. It is currently occupied by tenants, but I will give notice. Looking to rehab once the property is vacated (if one, the other, or both vacate).
Counter offer from the seller with the provision for the inspector contingency. If there are repairs with cumulative costs >$3k, then contractors are needed to determine estimates and scope of work.
