Electrical Work
- Replace Federal Pacific Electric (FPE) Stab-Lok brand panel on exterior of the home with new panel and connect with underground wires (if they are correct wires)
- Delete/remove the non-metallic sheathed wiring feeding the detached garage was exposed and sheathing gone (it’s also not 10ft off the ground)
- Evaluate live knob and tube wiring in the home - active knob and tube wiring can cause problems insuring the home and can be a fire risk. If needed, replace it with modern Romex wiring.
- Install additional receptacles in the kitchen.
Options for grounding outlets.
- Install GFCI protection to bring up to modern day safety standards (receptacles serving the garage, exterior, kitchen countertop areas and any receptacle within 6 feet of a sink should have GFCI protection)
