When will my review show up on BuildZoom?

Each review that is posted to BuildZoom, is moderated through a combination of machine and human filtering. Due to the large volume of comments we receive, it may take up to 24 hours for your comment to show up on our site, provided you have verified your account and your comment complies with our community guidelines.

How can I remove a review?

If you feel as though the review you left for a particular contractor needs to be revised, please use the following guidelines: 1. Log-in to BuildZoom with the e-mail address you used when leaving the review and the password we sent you: http://www.buildzoom.com/login 2. If you do not remember your password, please click the 'Lost your password?' link to reset your password. 3. Once you have logged-in, click on the 'reviews' tab in the left column. 4. Click the 'delete' button associated with your review to remove it from the system.

How can I submit a review?

To post a review for a specific contractor, please follow these steps: 1. On the BuildZoom homepage, click 'Browse Contractors' 2. Enter the contractor's name and their location, and then click 'Search' 3. When you found the contractor you want to provide a review on, please open their profile and scroll down until you find the section for 'Client Reviews' 4. Click the stars to rate the contractor and provide a detailed review 5. Click 'Submit your review' 6. Another form will pop-up; You can enter the project details and add photos 7. Please be sure to provide your email address as this is used to verify the review(it will not be shared with the company, and you can keep your feedback private) 8. Once the review is submitted, you'll receive an email with a verification link. Please click the link so the review will be forwarded to our moderation team

How can I edit my review?

To edit your review for a specific contractor: 1. Log into your BuildZoom account and then you'll be taken to your profile dashboard 2. Click 'Reviews' on the left 3. Find the review you want to edit 4. Click the 'Edit' link on the right; or the 5. The 'Edit Review Form' will pop up and you can start editing your review 6. Click the 'Save' button when you're done editing

Why was my review removed?

There are generally three reasons why your review was removed: 1. Your review may not be posted if it violates our Content Guidelines outlined in our Terms of Service 2. Your review was approved by our moderator but it was disputed by the contractor. We temporarily remove disputed reviews until our moderators complete an investigation. If you can give documentation or any other proof that your review is accurate, please send them to [email protected] so our arbitrator can further investigate your claim 3. Your review was permanently removed as the outcome of a dispute. Please note that we generally only remove reviews for 3 reasons: a. The reviewer was not a client of the contractor b. The contractor can provide proof that the reviewer is required to remove their review through either a legal ruling or a private settlement agreement c. The reviewer violates our content guidelines by objectively lying or providing demonstrably false information

How many reviews can I post for a contractor?

You may only post one review per project for a given contractor. We generally recommend you wait until the conclusion of the project to review the contractor. If your circumstances change since your original review, you may edit your review or remove it and post an updated one.
