Deck Safety Concerns Work
I am looking to address some immediate safety concerns with the front deck at my property in
Mi-Wuk Village (approx. 115 sq. ft.). Based on our inspection, I would like a quote for safety-critical
repairs only at this time:
Scope of work - Phase 1 (Safety and Code Compliance)
1. Railing Replacement or Modification:
- Bring railing height up to 42 inches per California code.
- Ensure baluster spacing is no more than 4 inches apart.
- Recommend material options (wood, composite, metal).
2. Replace Visibly Rotted Decking Boards:
- Remove and replace all surface boards with visible rot or structural weakness.
- Use pressure-treated lumber or Trex composite (please quote both options).
