Kitchen Expansion and Bathroom Addition
My kitchen is fairly small. The refrigerator is in a narrow alcove that used to be the back porch and is directly opposite the back door.There is no space for a replacement refrigerator because they are now making them deeper. So I need to knock out the back wall to enlarge the kitchen and also enlarge the basement to provide a solid foundation.
I also want to add a downstairs bathroom. A powder room might suffice but I am thinking of aging in place, so would also want to have a walk-in shower stall for when I can no longer climb stairs.
My biggest dilemma is whether I can afford this.
