Design: Garage Conversion to ADU
I am looking to build an attached ADU/mother-in-law unit, connected to the back of our garage, along with a partial garage conversion to give the ADU a larger footprint. The garage conversion piece would be roughly 80sqft (most likely a bathroom), then the connected piece would extend into the backyard roughly 11ft from the back of the house and 22ft long (242sqft). The total ADU would then be roughly 322sqft. The main area will include a living area, and kitchenette, with potential for a small attached outdoor living area.
