Bay Window Replacement
Our home is a unique stone house that is 100+ years old. There is a bay window on one side of the house with serious structural problems causing the bay window to sink, which is seriously warping the windows and walls in the vicinity (the issue is localized to the bay window wall). The issue is caused by the heavy load of the bay window not being properly engineered and the soil underneath being unable to handle the load.
We are thinking we want to tear down the stone exterior of the bay window and replace it with a lighter-weight wood-framed bay window, and if necessary, re-pour a small portion of the foundation to prevent further sinking. If interested, please contact me. Thanks!
