Roof Overhang Soffits; The house is a single story with a flat roof. Overhang is 18 inches and surround the house and attached garage. The roof over the house and attached garage is estimated by the roofers at 1300 sq. ft. The overall length of the 18" roof overhang and soffits is 145 feet. My suggestion is that the soffit material should be 3/8 inch soffit ply guaranteed for exterior use and primed for painting. Roof vents, metal grate to be installed and possible re-used of existing can be considered. Until completion of soffit replacement and house exterior painting we are forced to defer on proceeding with the kitchen remodeling.
