Earthquake Retrofit
This is an old cottage, two years shy of 100 years old. Several improvements have been made over the years, but never to the main house foundation (needed badly)
I added a pitched room with solar and now think the entire house is more unstable for earthquakes (not advised on this before). Crawl space is only about one foot under the beams. Foundation is cracked. There is an ADU in the back with a very good foundation (all done with permits) and needs no attention. You might be interested in a foundation extension to the front room and side wall, if affordable. Access to see under the house via cutouts in two closets, under stove in kitchen and under kitchen sink. photos are easy to obtain and will follow.
