We bought a 1960s block home in Tempe to fix up. Our son attends ASU and has done some construction work in the past and would like to stay busy when not studying by working on the house. But there are some major things we wanted to get done before he moves in mid-August. The house is currently 1.5 baths, and we want to expand it to 1.75 plus add a powder room. We started some of the demo work, as you will see in the pictures. The main bathroom was a full bath configuration and measured 5'x7' wall to wall. We had an addition built a couple years ago that we would like to make improvements on. We had our front door moved and a 4' x 5' entrance added on to the front of the house. I would like the roofline pitch of the addition to be fixed (it currently does not match the pitch of the house). And if possible, I would like the awning extended a couple of feet out to provide protection for the front door, and a couple of posts/columns added as well. Major water damage due to roof leak in several areas and mold mediation. One bedroom, family room, part of the dining room and part of the kitchen have been torn out for water mediation and needs to be reconstructed.
