Bent Palm Design Build

We got our deck done by Tommy and his team in 2015...five years ago. He came and was very professional with a great sales pitch and show of designs. When the deck was finished, it looked beautiful and we got tons of compliments. Our family has not been rough with the deck and we take good care of it because we were so proud of it. However, in only five years, it's falling apart. The wood is rotting underneath. it's not safe to go out on anymore.

When we contacted Tommy, he said the 2 year warranty was up. He said he'd send someone to take a look, but two months later, nobody came. As the situation got worse, we contacted him again with pictures of the rotting wood, and no response. Even just suggest people we could call to fix it! He won't answer the phone, his voice mail is full and he wouldn't respond to us. Tommy clearly cannot stand by his workmanship and products. Furthermore, when he saw some negative reviews, he finally called us and yelled at me on the phone saying that since we wrote bad reviews, he definitely won't be helping us and hung up the phone before I could even ask about the rotting wood or warranty on the wood. He also insulted me in comment responses on other sites, calling us a "chore" to work with. When we literally went with every suggestion he gave. He claimed that he was looking into the warranty for us in his public response , but did not send us anything about it. He has a huge ego, and can't take any criticism. His communication skills in regards to this issue have been extremely unprofessional and upsetting. I would have been happy to remove and edit negative reviews if he responded and gave options for fixing the safety hazard that is their deck now. But since his rude responses, I feel it is important for any prospective clients to know how rude he can be.

Our backyard pool built by Bent Palm was recently completed and we couldn’t be any happier! Tommy spent a lot of time working out the design details for our pool and patio, which was a little complicated due to the dimensions of our property. He did not charge us for working out multiple versions of the design, as other builders were going to do. We made several modifications and Tommy worked with us to make sure we stayed within our budget. Whereas other pool builders seemed more concerned with charging us as much as they could, Tommy’s main concern was that we would be happy with the final product. We stayed within the budget and ended up getting a far superior product than I ever thought we could afford!
Let me tell you, we are beyond thrilled with not only our pool, but also our patio and deck, which were also designed and installed by Bent Palm. Never having owned a pool before, we had no idea what would look good but Tommy gave us some great ideas and suggestions based on his experience to help guide our decisions. He earned our trust along the way and all of his installers and tradespeople were top-notch. If you are looking to build a pool, look no further – Bent Palm is the best in the business.
