Tony Kuccia built my townhome in 2019 and I and the other owners have had nothing but problems since. Multiple leaks, door issues, window issues, generally poor work on our finishes, and just learned today that every window on the house was improperly installed with now severe bowing—which will require a massive construction project to fix. Tony is also a pathological liar. He seemingly can’t stop himself, lying even about things that are provably false (e.g. claiming to have fixed a problem in my neighbor’s unit when my neighbor had just told me the problem was not fixed). He constantly dissolves and creates new LLCs to cover his tracks, and multiple subcontractors abandoned the project during construction due to non-payment. Run!!!

Our new home was estimated to be completed in 4-6 months and ultimately was wrapped up in 14. There were a number of issues throughout the build ranging from an incompetent project manager to water pouring into our house a number of times after being “weathered-in”. My wife and I had to eventually throw in the towel and sign off as completed despite Blossom leaving a number of finishing touches unaddressed and ruining our basement floors (we are having a company come in and resurface the floors out of our own pocket).
In addition, Blossom ran into a number of financial issues throughout the project and the house was left untouched for weeks and months at a time. It was a constant “rob Peter to pay Paul” situation in which our loan draws were obviously used to fund other projects. The owner, Tony Kucia, admitted to not having the money for deposits and to keep the project moving forward a number of times. Ultimately, we had to come out of pocket with additional funds because the owner misquoted a significant feature of the house - despite the fact that we had a fixed price contract.
After the home was completed they left all of our excess building materials and garbage (bricks, decking, piles of excess dirt) in an abandoned lot right next door. It has been 6 months and they still have not cleaned up the mess despite numerous requests. Our block club has even gotten involved.
As a part of the contract, Blossom is required to come out in September 2019 to fix any issues caused by the home settling. I am so concerned that they will not come out that I had to purchase legal coverage via my employer’s benefits to ensure that I can at least have a shot of them coming back.
This whole experience was one of the worst and most stressful of my and my wife’s life.

Would not recommend this builder at all! We moved in two years ago and have lived through nothing but problems, constant reworks and major issues! Front door replaced, Basement leaks, kitchen exhaust fan had water dripping onto the stove due to being improperly installed, every pocket door had to be replaced due to inept installation, wavy wall, the house is so out of square it is ridiculous, developed truss list, plumbing issues that were due to inept installation!!!
The list is endless and still not finished almost 2-1/2 years later, but he was paid his money when requested!!
Both Kucia and Bickerton, the project manager, were completely inept and the subcontractors were not of the quality we paid for or expected! They hired the cheapest subcontractors they could find with no concern for their customer
Run far, far away with your checkbook!!!!

I would not recommend Blossom Homes to anyone. It’s been way over a year and a half since we moved in and still waiting for our punch list items to be corrected. Blossom Homes is quick to get your business but their customer communication sucks; I even called the subcontractors to order new cabinet pieces. It appears I will be hiring an attorney to get all my punch list items Corrected I would not recommend Blossom Homes.

Tony Kucia is a hustling con artist. He lies and was rarely on the job site. I basically had to stop by daily to view and then contact by phone Kucia to try to control the building process and errors he should have been doing. He used incompetent sub contractors the cheapest materials and used in some cases illegal building practices and cut corners beyond common sense.
During construction had to find a carpentry contractor myself to correct errors and then deal with him arguing with the contractor over how much he would pay to correct the errors
He never once contacted me after the job was completed for any follow up problems. When I contacted him he was combative and downright rude. He refused to correct anything. I've had to pay thousands of dollars out of my pocket to correct construction errors.
Forget a dog house, I think he would screw up a bird house.
Look up Conte vs Blossom Homes in Cuyahoga County Court, review that, I wish I did! I am now starting court action against him.
This guy should be out of business and in jail for fraud, he's absolutely the worst of the worst. I found out the hard way. Now I review all contractors prior to signing.
Do not use Tony Kucia - Blossom Homes/Sustainable Construction LLC. -

Project: build home. I wouldn't recommend this builder to build my dog a house. Builder is not hands on and doesn't pay his vendors for materials- WATCH out for this shyster!!! If possible I wouldn't give him any stars. He is worse than terrible.

Tony built our house about eight years ago and the best thing I can say is that the house is still standing. There was no final walk-through; he just faded away and wouldn't respond to our texts and calls. I always got the feeling that there was some shady stuff going on with the billing, but it might be that he was just disorganized. Overall, I would describe the construction job as sloppy. The main reason I'm writing this is we just discovered a leak above the garage door that's caused a lot of damage to the wood inside, and it's going to require at least $10,000 in repairs. For a house that's so new, this came as quite a surprise, but given Tony's reputation, it probably shouldn't be surprising at all. Now we're wondering what other surprises are lurking inside the walls of this house. I think he's out of business now, but if he's still in business, you'd be wise to look elsewhere.
