  Good news if you made a complaint against Gregory Brisk to the attorney general they are working with the state police to build the case even larger.

  SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- A Schenectady man has been accused of taking money to do construction work, but never starting the job.

  State Police say Greg Brisk took $4,900 as payment to fix a roof, but did not do any work on the home and did not refund the money. He faces grand larceny charges.

  Brisk was operating under the business name "Brisk GCR LLC."

  Anyone with a similar complaint can call State Police investigators at 630-1712.

  Gregory Brisk, 32, of Manchester Road, Schenectady, was charged Aug. 6 with issuing a bad check.

  This guy is a scam artist. Never trust a "contractor" that drives a Honda car. He will climb on your roof. Hit it with a hammer and promise to get you a new roof with insurance money for a hail storm. He puts through all the paperwork for you, BIG RED FLAG. He then collects your $3000 check and promises to replace this and that at no extra charge. He promises the work to be done in 3 days. Then he splits for a year, disconnects his cell phones and doesn't answer his emails. He subcontracts everything and doesn't pay the workers. Insurance denies the claim for the roof, and says you need to replace the roof or they will cancel your contract. Those unpaid workers then put leans on your house. He will contact you a year later saying he wants to settle, but won't send you the check until you tell the BBB that the matter is settled. Then he mails you a check that bounces and you have to pay a bank fee. Then he promises over and over again to send you a cashier's check. 15 months later you realize you were worked over by a scam artist. His current email is [email protected] . Then you find out your neighbors got scammed too.
