  Install longer gate and support post

  A fence from the Fence Guy may look good at first, but costly repairs come in the future. In 2014, we had a longer gate and support post installed. As each year flowed by, the support post would lean over more and more until the gate no longer latched. I called the Fence Guy and was told that even though they installed it, they did not do repair jobs. After many inquiries, I finally found a company to repair this post and it was found that the post was never cemented in even though the Fence Guy bid specified that it would be. No wonder this post was not stable, if it had been cemented in, it never would have moved. The post repair cost us $400 dollars, money that’s hard to come by. Just beware.

  My first mistake was assuming that they knew what they were doing. My second mistake was assuming they'd be neat about it. Mismeasuring, lack of communication, owner temper tantrums, missing parts, damaged plants and general lack of respect for property, and then needing to remove a 40-foot Spruce tree to complete the work are just some of the stress factors endured. I plan to hire another fence company to come back next year, remove and replace the area that was supposed to be the highlight to my garden entrance--in turned out to be an eyesore. This should speak volumes in that I won't even have them come back and correct it.

  Don and Janine were wonderful to work with. Very down to earth people. They provided exactly what we asked for. Communication throughout the process was excellent. Don and his crew were on time and very professional. We couldn't have asked for a better experience with this contractor. I would recommend them highly for any job...large or small.
