We engaged Euro Fine Finishes LLC (Sandor Alex Bako) to repair several tape joint cracks in our garage and one on our patio ceiling. Mr. Bako was supplied with photos and measurements of the areas that required repair. We were assured that they would match the existing skip trowel texture. Here are excerpts from the emails to and from Mr. Bako prior to the start of work.
“Hi Alex,
Tomorrow afternoon would be good. Just so I understand, the areas where old tape needs to be removed would be re-taped and you will match the skip trowel?”“Good afternoon Doug, yes we will re-tape the area with mesh tape. And match your existing texture.”
The work performed by one of the workers clearly indicated that he had no experience or ability in skip troweling or matching an existing finish. Additionally, he missed a few existing cracks that were to be repaired.
Subsequent to the work Mr. Bako was contacted and after several days he came out to inspect the work for the first time since it was completed. Mr. Bako acknowledged that there were areas that did not match the finish but refused to even attempt to correct the problems. He denied that his worker had missed several areas and suggested that the cracks appeared subsequent to their work a few days earlier. His solution was: “you just need to sand the areas and repaint them and they will be fine.”
If you require any tape joint or dry wall repairs that have existing texture do not use this company or you will be left with substandard work that is a visually embarrassing mess. Mr. Bako does not stand behind his work and makes no attempt to rectify substandard work.

I dont normally write reviews, but when something is good or bad, I take the time. On 3/2017, Alex Bako and his crew did an excellent job gutting and remodeling my bathroom. They were very professional and very reasonably priced and went above and beyond on the work. They added a huge niche in the shower, where one wasn't present, added more electrical outlets, installed a Jacuzzi tub, a new bluetooth speaker exhaust fan, new vanity and medicine cabinet, beautiful tile work in the shower and marble floor. The best part of all is they smoothed out the walls and did a metallic venetian plaster finish that is just gorgeous! It just tied everything together. Still today, every time I go in there I am at aw at how beautiful it all is. It might not be a big bathroom, but it is huge in quality and beauty. I will definitely be hiring them again to more work for me. Anyone that gives them less than a stellar review, doesn't know what they are talking about. Maybe they are the kind of people that no matter what one does, they can't please them and or they want Rolls Royce work but only want to pay Honda price, a miracle where a miracle can't happen.
Mr. Bako is now working on a 3rd project for me, remodeling my kitchen and eventually I will have him paint the exterior of my house.
