    whole house remodel

    After speaking to numerous potential designers and builders, we settled upon Goff Development and Design. This was a whole-house remodel, and we were absolutely thrilled with the end results. Not only was the work done on time and on budget, but the quality was fantastic. Given we were going to be out of the house for about 7 months, our minds changed several times with respect to a number of details. During the process, Cary and his team took these in stride, and was always happy to accommodate. I'd recommend Goff Development & Design wholeheartedly.

    expand living quarters, remodel kitchen

    I hired this contractor twice: once in 2007-08 when my mother came to live with me, a second time, after my mother's passing, to remodel the kitchen and dining area. I was very satisfied with his performance on both occasions. In the first addition he expended a rear bedroom and added a bathroom and sitting area to the rear of my home. He also added all new electrical and plumbing and even reshaped our entire roof structure. He took pains to be thorough and clear in setting forth the scope of the work and payment schedule. He took great pride in his work, was a creative problem-solver, was knowledgeable about and rigorously conformed to legal requirements, and, for my mother's sake (she was 90+) let us stay in our home as long as possible. I was so satisfied with his work that I did not hesitate to hire him once again when, after my mother's passing, I was ready to remodel my kitchen. Once again I was impressed with his skills, his pride in his work, and the caliber of his subcontractors. Thanks to the work of Cary Goff and his team, I am very happy with the home I now live in.

    Extensive remodel of entire house

    I contracted Cary in 2017 for an extensive remodel of my Saratoga home. His workmanship was excellent. For example, he exacted a challenging framing job raising the ceiling height an additional one foot on original slab with precision. Cary works well with city inspectors and planning departments. The approval and inspection processes were completed smoothly with no delays or complications. During the construction process I came to know Cary well and discussion on project issues was straightforward. His allocation of time and resources during construction was solely focused on my project and not diluted to other jobs. I recommend Cary Goff as contractor for your construction project. Curtis B

    house remodel

    Cary and his team deserve high accolades for their standards and quality of work. The bid for the entire house remodel was very realistic including the allowances for quality cabinetry and fixtures. Cary was very patient and helpful with my additional scopes and changes and still completed within our timeframe. The project was executed superbly and without taking any shortcuts. Another crucial element were his subcontractors who were top notch. Highly recommend Goff Development.

    Home rebuild planning and design phase

    My home was destroyed from the CZU wildfires. Cary Goff was wonderful to work with on my complex and challenging rebuild. Cary walked me through the process, took over dealing with Santa Cruz Planning Dept. and keeping me in the loop every step of the way. Unfortunately, due to several geologic issues of the property, I made a decision not to rebuild my home. I have relocated and purchased a brand new home in Hollister. Cary is dependable and I would not hesitate to recommend Goff Development & Design Co/Cary Goff to anyone looking to build or remodel.

    New home - fire rebuild

    Cary took on a very difficult fire rebuild project. He started with basically a hole in the ground after the fire cleanup. He was at the site pretty much every day until the project was completed. He reviewed the plans carefully, found errors, and forced the structural engineers to fix them. He found errors in the steel framing and fixed them. He is not a GC that won't get his hands dirty and sub out everything. He is hands on and his craftsmanship is excellent.

    Rebuild after fire

    Goff Development/ Cary was incredible. He spent every day commuting to the Santa Cruz Mountains to rebuild our home which was destroyed from the CZU fire. He was professional and committed to our complex rebuild. His skills and knowledge of all phases of the rebuild were so impressive and I highly recommend him!!!! We are back home in a beautiful new home thanks to Goff Development/ Cary.
