David was very prompt in providing us a reasonable quote for repairing some drywall, painting, installing a railing for our interior stairs, and repairing a railing on our exterior stairs. He did the work when he said he would, it looks beautiful- like new- and he even dropped the price of his quote because he had to paint less than he originally estimated. We would hire him again in an instant and have already passed along his name to friends and relatives in the area

David did an amazing job. We had an exterior door replaced due to frame rot. He was quick to respond, came out to quote the repairs the next day and had the job scheduled and ready to go with in a week.

Hagen Construction and Design recently completed installation of our new kitchen. David Hagen coordinated the entire project including refinishing our hardwood flooring throughout our whole first floor. The kitchen is beautiful! He started when he promised, and explained what he would be doing each day as the projected continued. David cleaned up when the project was completed, including vacuuming the debris in the cabinets and on the floors, and wiping the countertops and backsplash. He was thoroughly professional, detailed and accommodating through the entire project. All of his recommendations and suggestions were spot on. David was a pleasure to work with. We would highly recommend David Hagen for any home remodeling or repairs.

David is very professional and courteous. He recently did a drop ceiling in our basement, which we turned into a home gym. We are extremely pleased with the work and will use him again for other home projects.

Master bathroom remodel/renovation
From the moment we had met David, we knew he would be our guy for the job. He is a wonderful and honest person who treated us with respect. He made this overall process very easy for us from the design all the way through until it was finished. He came prepared with blankets and plastic to help keep everything as clean as possible with a renovation job. He was always willing to answer any questions we had and assist with any recommendations based on his numerous years of experience. As for the work itself, we could not be any happier. He took our idea and made it a reality and we are thrilled with the outcome. Very professional and very detailed to perfection and we appreciate everything he has done for us very much. This was our second experience hiring David Hagan, this time for improvements to the interior stairwell of our home. The job required creative thought and customization to achieve our goal. David Hagan surpassed our hopes. But that's nothing new for him. He provided the same superior performance for us that he did last year: thorough, prompt, honest, creative, and on-time. Would we hire him again? You bet we would.

David fixed drywall and painted a bathroom, moved and hung a light fixture, hung a medicine cabinet and various other projects. He was always on time, his work is impeccable and he cleaned up afterwards. I would highly recommend him

We recently hired Hagen Construction to trim our interior doorways and a pass through between the hall and dining room. The work was completed in less than one full day with no need to hire a painter to finish the job! The trim work is just beautiful- it looks as though it has always been there and has given the rooms a finished look with added depth and dimension. We couldn't be more pleased. Dave and Bob did an expert job! Dave called and sent email with all details and timing, in addition to being punctual, polite, and kind! David Hagen is a very responsible, punctual and friendly person to do business with. He explains the work being performed every step of the way. Our space was a 2400 sq/ft space and the only thing that really stayed was the bathrooms and the ceiling grid. Just about everything else had to be redone...electric, walls, lots of township code specifications to get us up to code, flooring, reception desk, stages, etc. We pretty much had to do everything. Our grand opening was Jan 15th and I will admit the place looked absolutely amazing. Everyone complimented us on how nice the place looked. Not sure how I can put a picture up to show before and after but you would not even know it was a karate studio! Rick was the main person on our job site and did a great job. We would recommend Hagen Construction and Design. David and his team were great with a bathroom remodeling project (new floors, bathtub, sink, counter, toilet, etc). He is organized and courteous. His team was prompt and kept on schedule. The communication via email and phone was very good as we were kept informed of all details before, during and after the project.

Blue Bell, PA - David built a shingled roof with support columns over the small (about 5 feet by 7 feet) porch at the side entrance to my house in Blue Bell. Dave estimated that the job would take about a week, which it did. I was always kept informed during the work. The workmanship is excellent and I got just what I wanted. The new portico looks like part of the original house. They even re-used the siding that had to be removed, so that the siding on the end of the portico matches perfectly the siding on the main house. David is a pleasure to work with, as is Rob, who worked with him. I'd hire David again without hesitation.

David and Rob did a great job of taking off the old tile counter in my kitchen and putting in a granite counter, including a new faucet, which David installed and reconnected the existing in-sink disposer. David and team are very reliable and very pleasant to work with, and they leave the work space very clean. I highly recommend David and his team.

David just completed a difficult bath conversion to accommodate handicap needs. He did a great job, gave a fair price, kept on his timeline and provided a daily report of completion and next day planning. His attention to detail and excellent communication really made a difference. I look forward to working with him again in the future and highly recommend him for all of your needs

David Hagen was recommended to me by a neighbor who was very happy with his work. He put in an enlarged window in my dining room which involved stucco work, framing, window installation and painting. The window looks wonderful and the workers left the room very clean in spite of the dust that the job generated. David also did some plumbing work in the basement. I have lost count of how many projects David has done for me, or when he started doing them - seems like he's been the only contractor I've used on both my home and investment property. He came highly recommended from a friend and I have recommended him to family and friends. Those actions speak louder than any words I might use to describe him. We have used Dave Hagen to do rehabs of five different rental properties over the past few years. We have never had a problem with him or any of his people and at this point would never consider using anyone else. The first couple of times we used Dave, we got quotes from him and other contractors as well. His prices were in-line with the quotes from other contractors. Where Dave is outstanding is keeping to the agreed schedule. He has always been on-time or early, which allows us to get our properties rented ASAP. Dave also does high quality work. We have just had our two most recent rehabbed properties appraised and the appraiser note the above average quality of the rehab work and raised the appraised value of these two properties to reflect Dave's work. Dave has gone well out of his way to help us in emergencies. When one of our properties was broken into, leaving the door broken and the door frame destroyed, Dave got there very early the following morning to repair the damage so that the property was secure.

Dave Hagen does great work. I have known him for five years, at first with another company and now with Dave Hagen Construction. He has done a wide range of work at my center city townhouse from minor handyman jobs to general contracting a very complex roofing/insulating/electricity project. I have always found him personable, fair, and easy to work with. He gets the job done on time and does great work. Highly recommended.

Basement renovation
I was very pleased with the work that David Hagen completed in my basement. David has great attention to detail, is very organize in how he works. He put plaster on the bottom portion of the walls, put new boarders on all the affected doors, and did a great job in painting all the walls. The basement looks better than before flood. Thanks Dave.

Rehab on three rental properties
David was a savior after we were burned by another contractor on our first two rowhome renovations. He completed the work he said he would do on time (sometimes early) and on budget. His suggestions and expertise allowed us to get great results for a reasonable amount of money. David stood by his work and returned to resolve a few problems after completion at no extra cost.

Bathroom Tile Installation/Renovation
David provided a proposal that was right inline with the work required. He was easy to work with, started early and stayed late to keep on track with his proposal timeline. David worked with our pre-purchased materials (tiles), minor plumbing as well as masonry and drywall work required in our bedroom. David was always communicating and educating us during the process. We would highly consider recommending and/or hiring David again for his great attitude, friendliness and work ethic.

David Hagen was reliable and trustworthy and followed-up as needed. We recommend him for an old home whereby he raised a beam and inserted star bolts holding the outside wall from further movement.

Dave Hagen has performed many projects for me--both investment properties and numerous personal residences. Aside from being on-time and on-budget every time (unfortunately a rare thing!),the quality of work, regardless of the project budget, is fantastic.

Dave's skills are wide and deep--there's been nothing he hasn't been able to handle, from installing a screen door to renovating a basement and kitchen from top to bottom.

A great guy, with a great attitude, who does what he says he will, when it is supposed to be done--isn't that the way this is supposed to work?

David Hagen did great work and worked with me when I made changes to the proposal three times. Painting work, a new closet door, installing a kitchen floor, installing a new under-counter microwave oven, no job seemed beyond the ability of he or Andre who worked alongside him. Even after receiving full payment, he still came in to finish the work without prompting. I recommend him for his fairness and his ethical practice.

Kitchen remodel/renovation
I couldn't be happier with my finished kitchen. David was great to work with from the planning to the implementation of my design ideas and through construction. The change has brought my mid-twentieth century, post-WWII cape cod kitchen into the new millenium.
