BEWARE!!!! I WOULD NOT WISH MY EXPERIENCE WITH HIGH TECH AIR UPON MY VERY WORST ENEMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wish I could give negative stars or no stars. My tenant hired Dariusz from High Tech Air Inc. to come out to my condo because the air wasn't working properly. He claimed to fix the problem by replacing a filter. The costs weren't that bad (later I found out why) except for the exorbitant fees for mileage he charged me - his shop was 3 miles away!!! Anyway I was just glad the problem was fixed.
But it WASN'T fixed. A couple weeks later I received a call from my property manager saying my A/C was leaking into the unit below. The property manager immediately called a real HVAC technician who promptly fixed the problem but the damage was already done. The real HVAC tech actually charged me less for the emergency call and to REALLY FIX the problem than Dariusz did!!! But it was too late because I am now paying huge costs to have the unit below's water damage fixed.
The real HVAC technician that fixed the problem said that if a tech had been out just a couple weeks before (or even a couple MONTHS before) he 100% should have caught the real problems at hand - a backed up hose and a burnt out capacitor. He said there's no way a qualified tech would have missed something so basic and routine and that I should ask for my money back. So I did ask Dariusz for my money back via email. He responded that it "wasn't his problem" and that it was my fault because I should have noticed the problem!! First of all, I'm a long-distance landlord. Second, I do agree that I am responsible for keeping up on things but that is why as soon as there was a problem I told my tenant to hire a tech and get the problem fixed right away - IT IS NOT MY FAULT that DARIUSZ from HIGH TECH AIR was too incompetent to catch and correct what I have been told from PROFESSIONALS in the field is a VERY ROUTINE problem that should have DEFINITELY been caught by any tech. The real HVAC technician said his interns would have caught something that basic and if they hadn't, they would have been fired - rookie or no.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPNAY - unless you want to throw good money after useless services and pay thousands of dollars in damages and get no sympathy from the incompetent tech you hired. STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY!
