Building with Jefferson Christian was one of the worst experiences of my life. It would take a lot longer than a paragraph to tell you all the things that were done incorrectly in our home. They put in the wrong windows, double hung instead of casement, then charged us more money to remove them and replace with the proper windows. I had to fire the stone mason, who ruined a truck load of natural stone. There is only one door in my whole house that closes properly. Most of the doors have huge gaps, so that you can see into the room even when the door is closed. The property wasn't graded correctly and to make things worse, the concrete was poured for the driveway and the front walkway so that the water flows towards the house. Every time it rained we had a flooded garage. When the driveway cracked and had to be replaced within a few months, they put in an indent so that now the water doesn't flow into the garage, we just have a nice flood 3 feet from the garage. I caught the plumber actually using fire to glue pipes together because they weren't put in long enough. God knows when those pipes may fail. We were supposed to have stain grade wood throughout the house, but they put in paint grade wood and stained that. It is ugly and I have to live with it. After about a month, the garage doors started to literally fall off because the braces in the ceiling were not done property. Dale Christian was never out to the property to check on things and didn't care about our project. I would never, ever recommend this builder to anyone.
