    Went into contract to buy one of their new homes

    I feel obligated to tell the truth about a very crooked company, Marco Polo Properties is unethical, indecent and very crooked in the way they do business. They knew, that we would not buy a house from them, if we could not cut down the pine trees at the back of the property because we put the request in our original offer that Marco Polo remove those trees and they never said they could not be cut down, but rather lied and stated the reason they couldn't cut them down is because their equipment would destroy the sprinkler system, so we agreed that we would do it our self and they never said it could not be done. They also never provided the HOA documents showing the need for HOA approval until about 3 weeks after we entered this contract. Now that we are dealing with honest people, we know that they had an obligation to do that within the first few days, allowing us time to legally exit this contract if those trees could not come down. Also, when this house appraisal came in as $4,000 under the price we were going to pay with a VA loan, the representative for Marco Polo, rudely said, well we will split the difference with you we will reduce by 2,000 and you pay the extra 2,000. At that point we cancelled this contract, but with total lack of professionalism or any pretense of decency, they sat on that for the entire week-end and the next 3 days of the coming week and when we found a different home, the representative said, oh well, we will meet the appraisal. This unprofessional woman who never did anything in a timely fashion only made that offer to fulfill her desire to steal the money from me, a disabled Viet Nam vet who fought for her right to live and steal. I am done with this company, but I am not done telling the truth of how crooked they all are. This is a large, wealthy company and yet, they lied, procrastinated and cheated us out of $2,000, which is a great deal on a fixed income when you are 75 and too old to earn more. Buyer beware, don't let them cheat you too.
