By a user in PortlandMay 16, 2017Considered for Commercial Door InstallationResponse from Port Town Construction May 5, 2019We are sorry that we were not able to consider your project. We take every project that comes our way very seriously, and must determine if we are able to complete it in both a timely and satisfactory manner. Due to the type of exterior facade on your building (brick/mortar) we decided that we could not complete your project to the high standards that we hold. Once again, sorry that we could not be of more assistance.

By JackiOctober 14, 2016backyard fence and gates$8,50021 days
For months I researched the design and details of my backyard fence and gates. One day on one of my many walks around the neighborhood looking at fences, I saw one that stood out above the rest for quality and craftsmanship. The homeowner gladly passed on his contractor, Nick Pugmire of Port Town Construction. I got several quotes, but knew that I only wanted Nick to build my fence. The project took a bit longer than expected but in the end, I now have the best fence in the neighborhood by far. I would highly recommend Nick Pugmire.

By K1980September 24, 2015deck9 daysExcellent experience with medium-sized project
We had 4 bids for a deck and Port Town came in the middle, but I really liked Nick's approach, so we chose him. He estimated that it would be a 9 day job and 9 days later, it was done, it passed city inspection, and we were out on the deck having dinner in our new outdoor "room"! I was very impressed with his friendly professionalism and willingness to talk through details so I could better understand things. I've already recommended them to someone and will surely do so again.

By Ken D.June 1, 2015New Outdoor stairs$1,0002 days
Nick with Port Town Construction was recommended to us by our hardscape crew to build us stairs from the deck to our new stone patio. We are very pleased with the results! Nick exhibits every aspect of excellent customer service in addition to his meticulous attention to detail and quality of construction. Nick listened very carefully to what we were trying to achieve and came up with a striking design. The stairs were the perfect design and construction to bring together the deck and new patio. I would highly recommend Nick and Port Town Construction.

Nick Pugmire of Port Town Construction is a real artist. He was a sub on our backyard remodel and handled the deck and fencing. The attention to detail and craftsmanship on the deck and fence was top notch, and Nick was very responsive to any concerns and questions. Would wholeheartedly recommend!

By Jim F.February 12, 2015Retaining wall topped with a hog-panel fence and back yard deck7 daysPort Town Construction
Port Town Construction was our first choice to enhance our new home with a backyard deck and a retaining wall topped with hog-panel fence. Nick Pugmire is a complete professional with an eye for detail. The materials and methods used in the project were top notch and it was finished on time and on budget. The completed project is everything we envisioned, and then some. My wife and I look forward the years of enjoying our new deck and front yard. If anyone asks us who built these beautiful additions to our new home I will happily tell them it was Nick Pugmire from Port Town Construction and recommend that they use Nick on their next project.

Nick, was chosen to build a small deck and fence / gate in my back yard of my NE Portland home. Nick did a great job in both the designing and construction of both projects. Sturdy construction to be sure, however, the finished deck is not "square" to the concrete walk or the foundation of the house. At first glance, "something seems off"....if you look closely, you figure it out.
Nick is a fair, innovative, hard working guy. I would certainly hire him again. But next time, I'll keep a closer eye on the project. -
AnonymousFebruary 10, 2015windows, floor, wall$4,00010 daysHigh quality contractor
Nick has completed 2 remodeling projects on my 1950's ranch, both had a few small hiccups, but all were handled professionally and we love our new window, wall, cool slate floor and custom built-in wall for our projection entertainment system!
An honest, thoughtful, creative and friendly contractor that I have, and will continue to recommend to my friends. -
By Kris R.January 28, 2015Large Deck6 days
Nick Pugmire of Port Town Construction is a complete professional. I needed a large, new deck built on a mountain home to match an existing deck and the finished product is terrific!! This was a big project in a remote location 3 hrs away from me. Nick was very professional, thorough, timely and genuinely cared about the outcome. I was very confident in his professional ability and would highly recommend PortTown for any home project.
