  Repair cement work

  Deserves a zero rating! Hired him to do some cement repair work in 2023. Unprofessional. Added an extra $100 onto the bill at the start of the job. Hardly showed up when he was supposed to come. Did an extremely sloppy job. Started cracking right away. Had a (useless) 7 year warranty. I kept calling but he wouldn’t answer phone. Left messages. Never called me back. Now someone answered phone and said it wasn’t his number anymore. Don’t use this business. Reported him to the BBB.

  Wall repair

  Looking at the reviews below, it looks like I'm the latest fly to a fallen into Ronald’s web. if only I had found this page before I signed on. Ronald is extremely unprofessional and is nothing but a hustler. I hired him to fix my front wall as well as the front part of the roof. Initially he told me that it would take only two weeks to finish the contract and it would cost $14,500 in total. It took nearly 4 months to complete, and I paid him nearly $5,000 on top of the original price, and he did not finish on time. We were nearly at the end of the project, he said he would be done on a certain day, and I was set to make a final payment to him. Mysteriously 2 days before our agreed completion date, he found a new issue on the roof which he had been working on for months. He required me to pay between $1200 and $1500 additional for a special concrete that he had not accounted for and that was not my responsibility in order to finish the project. Now it was up to me paying nearly 50% of the original budget extra. After telling him I would pay for that last extra fee plus the final payment only when the job was done (not upfront) he threw his hands up and said he was not finishing the project. In addition to the fact that he is unorganized and incompetent, he is extremely rude and unprofessional. One of my neighbors got upset with me because a brawl had broken out in front of my house between his contractors that required the police to come and break it up. This has resulted in my house being reported and fix issues with the building permits (which he did not acquire and said we did not need.) Also, my neighbors in general were upset with me. He also stiffed the scaffolding company he used to work on my wall. He also got extremely upset with a contractor for my windows. The price he was charging to be the middleman made the window project undoable for me. As a result, the window contractor reached out to me to deal directly with me for the project. When Ron found out about this, he called me saying, “you f***** up your project is at a standstill as of now.” even after I had paid him almost $20,000 at that point for my project. In summary, do not do business with Ron. Side note, when I fired him, he called me 5 minutes after and very creepily just breathed into the phone. Oh and he comes up with all kinds of tall tales to get away with his incompetence as other victims have posted. Come ready with a large bucket of popcorn to hear his tales of surgeries, busted tires, sexual assault of his daughter (according to my neighbor, whose parking pad was not completed by Ron after nearly a YEAR) as excuses for him to not show up to your job site. Do not use this guy!

  Build a 16x20 ft two-floor shed over an embankment

  DO NOT HIRE THIS CONTRACTOR!!! I can't stress that enough! A negative star rating isn't available, so had to grudgingly give 1 star. Contracted this contractor Sept 2019 to build a 16 X 20 ft two-floor shed over an embankment on my property. Work crew (if you want to call them that) installed fourteen 12" diameter pillars on the embankment to which 6X6 posts were SET (not attached) and the first floor framework (2X12 lumber) was attached to the posts. They worked off and on through October 2019 to get that far. The job was quoted at $22,500. I wrote a $7500 check to begin the work and another check for $7900 early November 2019. There was no more work done after that. There were always issues with the owner's family or with being able to retain reliable workers. My wife even made lunch for them on occasion and made dinner for the owner and his family a couple times. My wife has since passed as she was dealing with her own issues, but I feel she was taken advantage of. I digress. Anyway, in early March 2020, we had what I called a microburst come through, and because the posts weren't secured to the pillars, the whole framing structure collapsed. I contacted the contractor via email (to have a record) and via text to inform him of this situation, but never had a response. I sent him a follow-up email in June 2020 telling him that I wanted to move on and requested an itemized document to reflect what his expenses were on the project to that point. I did this thinking there was no way it cost over $15K to install 14 pillars and that most, if not all, of the last check I gave him should be refunded. Again, silence. He has basically abandoned the project and has left many of his tools and equipment behind. I cut up all the collapsed lumber because it was warped and twisted after laying there for over 18 months. I have since obtained another contractor to continue the project, but it certainly left a bad taste in my mouth and a distrust for contractors.

  I agree with the above review. This was a very stressful experience with inexperienced and unprofessional staff. Never had the equipment needed and they had to use ours. Went way over the estimated time to do chimney repairs even considering weather conditions. Never on time, left equipment in the yard, never covered open spaces when it rained and had to be contacted as to when the job would be complete. Landscaper had to pick up nails strewn all over the work area. Had to have another person repairs this group's mistakes. Very sloppy job! The owner was verbally abrasive and unprofessional on the phone often yelling to make a point. I would never ever recommend this contractor to anyone!

  Repoint brick, paint and replace glass block window

  I wish I could give this contractor 0 stars!!!!! Worst experience we have had working with a contractor. Unreliable, employees are not provided with equipment necessary to perform task at hand. We were contracted to have our home's mortar joints repaired, painted, and have a glass block window replaced. The job was said to only take 2 weeks, we are now entering week 6. Only one employee was assigned to perform most of the work, he was not provided with a proper paint sprayer to paint the thick paint needed for brick. This has been a nightmare!! The glass block window ordered was the wrong size, contract specifically reads 32 x 31 glass block window, the window they put in only measures 29 x 29. The mortar surrounding the window is approx. 3 inches, much more than recommended. The employees installing the window mentioned multiple times that due to this error the mortar will crack and ultimately need to be replaced. When owner was told this, he responded saying there is, "no way in hell," he was ordering a new window, though it was his fault.
  Little to no respect for homeowners. More than once this contractor has used profanity towards our neighbors when he was asked to stop blocking their driveway, which happened almost daily. Clean up has been non-existent. We have mortar and over-spray on much of our property, when the glass block was removed, we used our personal shop-vac to clean up the mess. I would never recommend this contractor to anyone.
