    Kitchen and laundry room remodel
    $65,000

    Word to the wise: Don't trust Raffin Construction Company! After waiting over 3 years to start a kitchen remodel and giving Bill Raffin a $1,000 deposit (which was cashed the following day) our job is still not complete. Along this journey, we met many fine and reputable business owners who we highly recommend, namely: Millbrae Furniture (Don and Larry are the best and most honest men you'll ever work with), Mahoney Floors (especially Mrs. Mahoney and her daughter, Erin), Castle Kitchen and Bath (Sammy Rigling is so knowledgeable with cabinetry and kitchen design), All Natural Stone (ask for Yelena), Minicianni Plumbing (Jim) and Ideal Electrical (Tony). They are outstanding and I would give them all an A+. Please support our local businesses. When it comes to Raffin Construction Company, we received poor workmanship and uncompleted work. I know many of you in the area have dealt with Bill since he is homegrown. That is why we trusted him. He lives approximately 10 minutes from my house, and he will not come to see the final work. If you were a business owner, wouldn't you want to see and take pride in the workmanship of your crew? Many of the above businesses mentioned have come over and taken pictures of their product and our kitchen, or have asked to come see the end result. NOT THE CONTRACTOR!! This is not about money since we paid him for most of the work before it was completed. His contract wasn't valid to us as we wanted some changes before we started. He told us he didn't have time to write up a new contract and he would make adjustments along the way. During the process, we were threatened with him quitting and a lien against our property for his unfinished work. Bottom line: I am very disappointed that a local boy who you will see in the neighborhood couldn't stand behind his own work. He is a wolf in sheep's clothing. When he meets you, he's super nice. Once the job has started, he turns into a wolf. I'm attaching photos that we wanted repaired and he refused to return. He ruined our custom cabinets (the cabinet company has been in business for over 50 years) by overscrewing into the pre-screwed holes thereby making those holes unusable. He bragged about how long he has been in business and yet he couldn't place the screws in the proper location? We have painting holidays that he refused to come look at much less even repaint. He was too busy threatening to sue us and collect his money (which he received) than finishing his job.

    Raffin Construction was recommended by freinds of ours and we gave Bill a call. From day one, we felt comfortable with our projected and kenw it was in good hands. Bill took the time to help us with how and where to view priducts and once picked, he made the installation perfect. His crew are professional and maintained a clean working area through the whole job. I bathroom is now a completed project that could be put into a designer magazine. To say the least we are satisfied customers.
