Stay away from Terry Wayne (704-914-6002) and any of the the fly-by-the-night compaines he operates under. My three week project took more than 10 months; and with the project almost compete he asked for an extra 5K on top of what was agreed to on the contact to finsih the project - essentally holding the project hostage. Do not give in to his bogus reasons for the overage and find someone else to finish the project. After all was done, I would have gladely paid another reputable company twice what it ended up costing me just to avoid using Terry and his neverending reasons for delays. With the prevelance of Square and Paypal, any decent company wlll gladly take credit cards as payments, but there is a reson Terry does not take credit cards and that is so people can't dispute the charges. Once he has the cash, there is no recourse for the customer and his so called "contract" he offers for the work he does is a joke.

We paid Terry 50% of the money for a job which was supposed to take two weeks. He poured footers and never came back. He promised to refund money, then filed bankruptcy again. He is a scammer for sure. We are looking at options criminally at this time. Do not hire him! His new company name is Outdoor Design Center

Terry signed a contract to complete work for me.. after 1 days work he demanded more money.. after cashing the check, he stopped showing up... he stole my money and said to sue him.. he claims to have others suing bankruptcy.. stay clear of the scam

WARNING – DO NOT HIRE
Our experience with Terry’s Lawn Care LLC and Terry R Wayne has been a horrible experience.We signed our contract in May 2012 for a full back yard project. It included a fence, patio, sitting wall, fire pit, pergola, irrigation, 5 mature trees (and eventually added sod). This project was supposed to take 2 weeks and be done by the first week or two of June.
By end of June we only had the fence posts in.
July we had the start of the patio (foundation dug) and ½ the fence up and ½ the staining of the wood.
August brought some progress on the patio and pergola and the foundation of the sitting wall
September brought the start of the veneer on the sitting wall.
We received a lien on our property in October from him not paying a supplier. This money was given to Terry and he did not pay the bill. This made us had to pay it a second time to prevent the lien. Finally in October we had enough, cut ties with Terry and had other companies finish this “2 week” project.
Terry offers a low price and later conveniently forgets things in the original contract. He also “accidently” makes things larger than billed then wants you to pay for it. (eg the patio sq feet) . He holds the project hostage until you agree to pay it. He disappears for days at a time and throughout the project he typically only spent 1-2 days a week on the project. He is also not a legal LLC, it was dissolved by the state of NC in 2006.
In short: He low balls the price(only to raise the price on you later), holds the project hostage, does a poor job with quality, caused a lien put on our property and disappears once he receives money. There are many other reviews similar to this on the internet.
We are going to Court at the end of Nov to go after the money he owes us for not finishing on the last agreed upon date.

I would like to submit a sincere recommendation for the services of Terry’s Lawn Care. After interviewing multiple candidates to complete a custom patio project at our home, I ultimately selected TLC based on his competitive bid submitted and ability to incorporate all the different aspects we wanted to include. Terry worked with us throughout the entire design process to ensure that we would receive the finished product that worked best for our desires and needs, while still fitting in to our budget. His team was courteous, respectful, and was able to complete our patio within a tight timeframe for a large gathering we held at our home. All of our guests were thoroughly impressed with workmanship and appearance of the job. I thoroughly recommend Terry and his team for your patio, or other, project as he genuinely cares and works to fulfill all of your wants and needs, and does so in a cost effective manner.

Just reading these posts, it's like reading word for word of what Terry did to us. He started a project, it started falling apart, never came back to finish the pergola or fix the outdoor kitchen, never installed the gas line or the electrical. We had to hire the gas company and an electrician to finish it. We have since learned he has started two other companies, Outdoor Design Center, now Outdoor Design Depot, and has changed his website several times. It is now www.gotgrills.com. We will also be suing Terry. This man needs to be put in prison for fraud.
