The “Business Information” section of the BuildZoom contractor profile contains some extremely important information on contractors. For example, this section will be able to tell you whether or not the contractor is licensed, bonded and how long they have been in business.
We have a verification process in which a BuildZoom researcher will go and examine state records to make sure that the business information added by a particular contractor can be verified. Only after we’ve researched the state records and cross-referenced that information with the contractor’s business information will we add the “BuildZoom Verified” indicator to the Business Information section of the contractor’s BuildZoom profile. We will also indicate the last time the information was verified.
So make sure before you decide to work with a contractor that their business information has been verified by BuildZoom.
Contractors, make sure to provide us with your license number when you are creating your profile because that is the best way to make sure our research team can verify your business information in a short amount of time.
