Are most people finding more success with the Shluter-Kerdi shower system over the conventional method?

When I was a general contractor, the tile contractors in my network loved using Schluter and other related products. Although more expensive, the system is clean and easy to install, saving labor hours, and keeping the jobsite neat and tidy. The waterproofing is superior to conventional construction using cement board or alternatives. Best of luck!

Personally I like to use the schluter system, definitely better than the old ways with one exception, if the floor on your shower isn’t a square, if it’s more of a custom floor that’s necessary, then I prefer to dry pack my shower pan. However I will always use the kerdi paper or kerdi board any day over the old ways.

Suburban Kitchen and Bath just finished a Schluter Ditra-Heat floor for a bathroom customer…Top notch stuff.
