The composite shingle of today is widely used and has certain standards that have virtually eliminated the ORGANIC shingle.
So if it is a true Composite, you have no problems.
You could ask your contractor which brand they intend to use and then contact the shingle manufacturer. They usually are more than willing to answer any questions you may have.
