Can anyone help me identify the fixtures on my roof.

Hello!

I just bought a new condo in San Francisco. The building was built in 2014. There are several items on my roof, and I’m trying to figure out what they are. Can anyone help?

There are two objects I can’t identify here. One is the black box, and one is a gray metal fixture to the back-left of the black box.

There are two objects I can’t identify here, as well. I suspect the black smokestack is connected to my range hood, but I would like confirmation. And I suspect the gray pipe is a drain, but again would like confirmation.

  1. The black box looks like a condensing unit for HVAC. Not sure of the make. Some have custom shielding. The sticker attached to it should have more information such as a part number or manufacture number to lead you to some more answers. The metal galvanized pipes should be your venting.
  2. Appears to be a power vent and a hopper attached to your power pit wall for drainage.
