Can I convert my bathtub to a walk in bathtub?

I heard a door could be cut into my existing bathtub.
I would like to know more about this.

Maybe cutting up your tub is possible, but I’ve never seen it and wouldn’t recommend it. Removing the existing tub and installing the configuration / product that you want is the way to go. There are many walk-in tub products with a door; Google “walk-in safety bath tub” for a selection from $1,400 - $6,000.

yeah its doable ,to my knowledge on the fiberglass tub ,a cut could be done to have easy access (as walking )and no need to lift a knee . just you have to use someone had experience on that type of job

Yes there are products that can convert your Tub whether it is fiberglass or metal into a walk in tub.

Yes, this a great feature for those with disabilities of various kinds to have a safe way to get in and out of the tub. The units can be a bit pricey and you will need to have a dedicated circuit installed to run the heater and jets in the tub but these are not highly expensive things to do.
