Can you suggest deck alternatives?

We’re leveling a section of our sloping yard for use as an outdoor entertaining space. We’d like to put in some seating and possibly a dining table. We’re were thinking of putting in a simple deck but have heard that’s quite expensive and we’re already spending most of our budget on some large retaining walls.

What are some stylish alternatives to a deck? Large paving stones? Poured concrete? Loose gravel? What would be the most cost efficient? The most durable?

If you can provide links to photos, we’d love to see ideas!

Stamped concrete is a great solution and has no annual maintenance

Concrete pavers are nice. Unilock has a variety of different kinds to choose from: different colors, sizes, and patterns. They are very stylish, a hot new trend with homeowners, and something that can be an easy diy project!

I would suggest dek-tek out of Minnesota or Landmark Ceramic pavers for a different look.

There’s is all kinds of deck alternatives but the question is why do you want to see in the end of the day so you have paves like interlocking pavers you have also stamped concrete regular concrete you have a lot of options where you want to go with you can go also with fake grass or grass you can go with that flowers so overall you need to first of all want to know what you want to eat you in your backyard or front yard once you accomplish that then have some of the contractors give you estimates on sometimes I do using the square footage of the decking by putting some black gravel or any kind of color gravel with some lights that’s coming from the gravel out I will give you a better look but again it’s all about taste and creativity
