My vote is for concrete.
My answer is concrete or gunite pools , vinyl rips easy, fiberglass cracks
Concrete, hands down. If you are making an investment in a pool that will add potential value to a home, always go in-ground concrete.
Agree on the use of concrete, especially for an in ground pool job.
Concrete is the most durable material to use, when building a swimming pool.
I prefer to use 5,000 psi compared to gunite as it is a stronger concrete.

Concrete
Concrete. We build in Southern California and only use 5000psi shotcrete.
Best one is concrete
Concrete pools are the most expensive. They also offer the most design flexibility, allowing installations near slopes, in expansive soils and adjacent to bodies of water (lakes, rivers and oceans).
Fiberglass pools and vinyl liners rely on the soils for support. If there is any movement, the walls may fail. They are best for flat lots that do not have any of the conditions mentioned above.
it is virtually impossible to affix a foundation to a vinyl or fiberglass pool to overcome these type of site conditions. Any reputable pool contractor can assess your site and make recommendations based upon your budget.
We recommend concrete (shotcrete) over all other forms. We have remodeled and made repairs on gunite pools and have found that gunite can become soft where leaks are present. Another thing to consider is that those that do gunite pools need to be very skilled at it. Gunite holds best when it stays on the pool wall the first time it is shot. If is sloughs down to the bottom (called rebound) and is shoveled back up, it has already lost some of its ability to harden and stick correctly. On the other hand, concrete rebound can be reused. Concrete (shotcrete) is the most durable and long lasting shell.
We have been building swimming pools for over 40 years. We have built vinyl, fiberglass, shotcrete and gunite (concrete). We believe that the very best product to build a pool is gunite.
