The deck would be on a level section of our backyard and would only be about 6" off the ground, so I can’t think of any hazard issues. Does this require a permit?
If it were my house, I would call the city and ask as local preference varies. If it is less than 10x12 then no automatically.
Hello Katie. All states and municipalities are different in their requirements. Probably the best thing to do is reach out to your local building department and I’m sure they will be able to answer that questions. I’m in South Florida and you practically need a permit for anything exceeding $1250 in construction cost. Hope this helps!
