Depends on the scale of the project. If you are investing tens of thousands of dollars in plant material your contractor may not warranty the installation if you do not have irrigation installed. It’s your call, but typically it’s money well spent that also gives you the flexibility of vacationing without having to worry about the lawn of landscape you installed in the spring.
As with any investment you make in your home , if you want to keep your flower beds, trees and lawn looking there best you have 2 choices 1. a sprinkler system or 2. hours of moving around a sprinkler. thats if you remember.
